AND I STARTED THE JOURNEY AGAIN We always doubt ourselves, our skills, and our talents when something goes wrong. Not that it is wrong to look for what mistakes we made, but to dwell only on mistakes stops us from growing. The only way is to move forward. #procastinate # story #journeyoflife #selfdoubt # https://lnkd.in/gJ8SaMkB

Everything rests on your ability to communicate. As a professional speaker and coach, I give you the confidence + clarity to create impact when you talk about yourself and your work.
Every expert on speaking recommends rehearsal. Yes, that includes me. At the same time, just about every would-be speaker says, “Awww, I really don’t wanna rehearse.” Or something to that effect. Yes. That also includes me. I've been preparing for a big speaking engagement this week. Secrets of Professional Presence and Influence. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? I’ve talked with leaders at the company, learning about their business. Getting a feel for the language they use. Crafting my content so it hits the mark for their team. And I enjoyed every minute of that research and preparation. Eventually, it was time to stand up and practice. And – I really didn’t wanna rehearse. Here's why I did it anyway. And why you should too. #speaking #rehearsal #practicemakesperfect

In a world brimming with distractions, choosing where to focus our attention can redefine our paths. Recently, I made a conscious decision to swap my Netflix time for something a bit more enriching—MasterClass. This platform has opened a new world for me, where learning from the best is just a click away. One of the most impactful series I've engaged with so far features Kevin Hart, who teaches about the power of humour in building connections and the courage needed to be your authentic self, even in professional environments. His lessons go beyond making people laugh—they're about using levity as a tool to leave a memorable mark and build genuine bonds. Kevin's approach has inspired me to bring more of my authentic, fun self to work. It’s about more than just cracking jokes; it’s about creating an atmosphere where others feel at ease, creativity problem-solving can flow and relationships can thrive under pressure knowing the next laugh to move through it isn't far away. Have you made any recent changes to how you invest your time for personal or professional growth? What’s inspiring you these days? #LifelongLearning #ProfessionalGrowth #MasterClass #KevinHart #WorkplaceCulture PS. Check out the trailer here (and try not to laugh): https://lnkd.in/eFsjM2bV

Whether it’s an aggressive interaction at pickleball or a misunderstanding at work, our biggest lessons often come from not-so-pretty moments…if we choose to shift and learn. When we feel attacked by other people, we can feel justified for having a knee-jerk reaction and kick back, but we can accomplish a lot more by making another choice. It might be easier said than done, but we have to work our way back to ourselves and towards something more loving. It’s okay to have a messy moment, but you can still recover your presence and create a new commitment. If we can expand our repertoire of responses, we can move through these moments with more grace and kindness towards ourselves and others. How did a pickleball kerfuffle turn into an interesting moment of introspection and growth? Instead of using conflict to prove that we’re right, how do we turn it into a profound learning opportunity? In this episode, we talk about a different way to deal with a moment of conflict and how to practice responding instead of reacting.
