To combat the effects of seasonal affective disorder (SAD), I've found a few strategies that have worked wonders for me. Vitamin D: A daily dose of 2,000-5,000 IU of vitamin D can help boost your mood and overall well-being, especially during the winter months when sunlight exposure is limited. Exercise: Regular physical activity is a powerful tool for combating SAD. Even short bursts of intense exercise, like a 15-minute workout, can have a significant impact on your mood. Find Your Fun: The key to sticking with an exercise routine is to find activities you enjoy. Whether it's hiking, running, or climbing, make it fun and engaging. Consider adding a weighted backpack or vest to your workouts for an extra challenge. Strength Training: Don't forget about strength training! Aim for at least three sessions per week to maintain muscle mass and boost your metabolism. What's Your Jam? Share your tips and tricks for staying healthy and happy during the winter months.
