This is an excellent piece by Jonathan Vardi. It demonstrates how a thoughtful director can hone generative Ai to produce original images, relatably and rhythmically juxtapose them and finally elevate and contextualize it all with a perfectly unique soundtrack. The one thing I keep waiting to witness is a film that tells an engaging, earthly human story, using the same tools, but without the uncanny nature of LLM hallucinations. Such a film is obviously around the corner… perhaps it already exists and I just haven’t seen it yet. Who are the Madonnas in your organisation? You may or may not have missed the miniscule controversy about Madonna on tour, holding on to a safety bar whilst dancing on a moving platform 20ft high. Was she holding on to a safety bar during her dance routine? I don't know but if so, so what? This is not a post about what Madonna should or shouldn't be doing at her age. However, the story got me thinking about how organisations unlock the potential of a multi-generational organisation. Madonna is 65 years which makes her a part of the Baby Boomer generation Madonna's career started in 1979, meaning she has had an active career for a little over 45 years now Madonna has grossed an estimated $1.2b on the road in the career (Source: Forbes) Madonna clearly chooses to continue writing, singing, dancing and making a living doing what she wants 💡 There are many Madonnas in your organisation, they may not have brought in $1.2b but they have and continue to add value. ✔ Their needs might have changed over time ✔ The support they require may be specific ✔ The benefits they desire are certainly different ✔ They have more to contribute than 'just' the wisdom and knowledge they possess ✔ Create opportunities for them to thrive like you would for your younger or emerging talent ✔ Include them in technologically centered discussions. ✔ Make no assumptions about their capabilities. #agediversity #multigenerationalworkforce #diversityandinclusion #leadershipcoaching

ASTRONAUT WITH DISABILITY AND "ESCAPE" REALITIES "Former Paralympian John McFall is working with the European Space Agency on a ground-breaking study to see if it's feasible for someone with a physical disability to live and work in space". John is a leg amputee". Apart from the commendable general aims of this study, there are realities that cannot be (literally) escaped. In orbit some physical limitations may disappear. In microgravity your hands are your feet too. Your mobility depends completely on your hands, while legs and feet are just a potential source of inadvertent damage to the surrounding equipment (kick loads). However during emergencies on ground at launch or landing, a leg amputee would be at a great disadvantage and risk of life during so-called "escape" emergencies. During escape, time is essential and the entire crew may risk their life trying to help a leg amputee.
