Queen of Oil and Gas👸|| Emerging Energy Leader || Business Development Executive|| I help 9-5 professionals, prospective STEM professionals maximize STRATEGIC GROWTH and LEAD in the industry ||Founder, MGg Group
Technicians do more hardwork than Engineers 🤔 Do you agree? This is usually the bone of contention in the Oil and Gas Industry. While you may have your opinions and can defend it, A major difference is the scope of their work. ▪︎ Engineers design and plan how systems work, for example, how to extract oil and gas efficiently from reservoirs, wells etc. ▪︎ They use softwares to analyze data, predict and determine drilling locations and methods etc. ▪︎ They ensure the process is environmentally safe and in compliances to regulatory standards/Policies. ▪︎ And the minimum qualification is a University degree (B.Tech, B.Eng). On the other hand, ▪︎ Technicians are the operators and maintenance workers that follow the procedures set by Engineers. ▪︎ They are responsible for tasks like, monitoring pressure guages, changing drilling bits or performing maintenance on pipelines, containers, machines etc. ▪︎ The certifications are often diplomas in the specific field. In simple terms, an Engineer is a designer, Supervisor, and Project Manager while a techician builds, operate and maintain what the Engineers designed. For the smooth running of any project, both must carry out their roles without any competition. Can a Technician become an Engineer?? Yes! And he would eventually be an authority because of his vast knowledge and exposure in the related field. P.S Did you learn something or have a different opinion, Kindly share to enlighten someone. Repost ♻️ to enlighten your community. #QueenofOilandGas

Geotechnical Observations - Our Measurements Inform Your Decisions... The top three risks to quality in projects where geotechnical and structural instrumentation is of high importance are: 1. Using the wrong instrument in the wrong place 2. Installing and/or reading the instrument badly regardless of whether it is the right instrument and in the right place, and 3. Not being able to understand if the monitoring data makes sense in the context of the problem being investigated Geotechnical Observations mitigates all of these risks by: > Employing geotechnical engineers with knowledge of instrumentation > Installing the instrument properly, which we mitigate by making sure our field technicians are given time to prepare properly for a project and all installations are supported by an appropriate inspection and test plan with clearly identified check points > Advising our clients about the results that are obtained from the instrumentation and interpreting them in the context of the engineering problem To view our range of monitoring solutions, visit - https://lnkd.in/e9CcDxQs #GeotechnicalObservations #Monitoring #Instrumentation #Safety #RiskMitigation #MitigateRisks
