On DEI in India: I have been working on DEI in India for the past few months - and my strategic partner is Saira, a recruiter for marginalised talents. Over the weekend, I came across this article "Eyes Wide Open: The Complex Dance of Meritocracy and Diversity in Corporate India" (20th Sep, Storyboard 18, link in comments). The article has multiple statistics and practices of current companies, something that DEI and HR heads would appreciate for benchmarking. From the lengthy article, one point reflects a key challenge I observed in India. Many well-intending companies have been looking at what competitors are doing in formulating their approach. This has contributed to the use of quota or target setting in hiring. For marginalised communities, which typically has lower education qualifications, prioritising them for suitable roles is a route to equity. It is common to see companies opening up technical roles for marginalised communities (usually filled by IIT and IIM graduates), and eventually, they are filled by (surprise!) graduates with Unique Disability IDs from top tier universities. To go deeper, the company needs to reach into creating new pathways of education access or provide training on the job. And IF the company provides reasonable accommodations, yes, that is a big step forward in equity, but that's only touching on the fresh snow layer of a mountain. I have been speaking with a couple of companies that say that they are now looking for candidates from the LGBTQ+ community and ask me how we would verify the candidates' authenticity. I applaud the effort but this approach which requires compulsory disclosure is an issue. While more LGBTQ+ visibility at all levels is needed, some may not be able to risk disclosure of their LGBTQ+ identities, particularly those with a smaller support network. When seeking to increase the diversity of your workforce, it is important to ensure conditions are right. The physical and psychological safety of women, persons with disabilities and LGBTQ+ persons at the workplace requires far more awareness, monitoring and cultural transformation. If harassment is not clearly understood, a company may end up not calling perpetrators out on bad behaviour. If the company is not sensitised on what support for minority groups look like, the company may lose their new diverse employees after spending months on hiring. There are solutions for all of the above. PM me if you would like to have a chat on your DEI issues in India. #india #diversityandinclusion #culturaltransformation ALT TEXT: Disability hiring being a trophy and on a pedestal. The basic difference between a perfect employee and an unemployable but employed employee (clown). Perfect employee: In a few seconds understand the why, where, how, and when of a comment or criticism. and the second one: Always say, "If I'm not arguing that doesn't mean I'm an idiot, that means I'm doing my work". If he/she is that hard-working then why do companies face financial problems, investment, men and women power management issues etc. daily? (aisa show-off karte hai jaise hanuman ji dronagiri leke a rahe hai) Simple, if a man says this then why bro India is still a developing country instead of a developed country. If the speaker is a woman then simply why mam your community always face problems, especially women with disability and economically poor or black women? #Corporate #Company #Work #Culture #Job #freelance #Hiring #People #Women #Men #Management #Disability #Hardwork #hrcommunity #layoffs #hrmanager #Employee #Seniors #Placement #HR #Consulting #Management #Kolkata #DEI #Freshers #placement #interview #linkedin #naukri #jobhunters #DisabilityInclusion #hrscams #scams #scamalert #recruitmentscams #diversity #DiversityInclusion #equality #UK #Europe #US #India #bengali #singapore #bengaliculture #Equality #LGBTQ #lgbtq #owner #entrepreneur #IBM #TCS #Infosys #EY #PWC #MentalHealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #jobhunt #jobseekers

You could get me wrong but every time I was right. In the case of Shantanu Deshpande, I was too. Actually, women and feminsists shut in the time of 17 to 18 hours of hard work and the bully of PWD. Simple, Deshpande type of people are clients in professional life or same type of people. Right now, that seed is turned into tree. It is hurting the women empowerment. In an open news paper Corporate women also included in that marketing even I'm not wrong bengalis are also in that team. It is again proved that 1. There is no fucking women empowerment and feminisms. Even feminists are also biggest culprits. 2. No men and women are disabled friendly in corporate. All they do is just fucking drama. 3. Corp men and women who shout about feminism is just for individual self-benefit. Corp means bullshit. Diversity in Corporate India: Are We Truly Inclusive? Gender Bias – A highly qualified woman I know was passed over for promotion twice because "the role required tough decisions" assumed to be more suited for men. Cultural Diversity – In a leading MNC, employees from non-metro cities struggle with regional language barriers, limiting their involvement in key projects and discussions. Inclusive Hiring – A skilled individual with disabilities was given a role but excluded from team activities, making them feel isolated in an otherwise “inclusive” environment. While we’ve made progress, these challenges highlight that diversity is not just about hiring—it’s about ensuring inclusion in every aspect of the workplace. What are your thoughts on diversity in corporate India? Let’s discuss. #Diversity #Inclusion #CorporateIndia #Leadership #WorkplaceCulture #Equality #GenderEquality #InclusiveHiring #WorkplaceDiversity #LGBTQInclusion #DisabilityInclusion #Innovation #Collaboration #DiversityMatters #EqualOpportunity #2024Goals

This is the condition of BENGALI WOMEN. Did she tell the truth? No, she was angry, in replies clearly showed. Congo, she does a job in the KOLKATA SECTOR 5 area. I told you previously, that most Bengali women are born disability discriminators. Especially, in the Kolkata region. Similarly, this is the condition of women's empowerment. #Corporate #Company #Work #Culture #Job #freelance #Hiring #People #Women #Men #Management #Disability #Hardwork #hrcommunity #layoffs #hrmanager #Employee #Seniors #Placement #HR #Consulting #Management #disabilityinclusion #DEI #Freshers #placement #interview #linkedin #naukri #jobhunters #DisabilityInclusion #interviewexperience #diversity #DiversityInclusion #equality #UK #Europe #US #India #Director #director #CEO #Equality #LGBTQ #lgbtq #owner #entrepreneur #IBM #TCS #Infosys #EY #PWC #Big4 #Big3

There are millions of boys and girls, deserving boys and girls, who are a single child of their parents or maybe retired parents, disabled people searching for jobs, rejected unethically, even many of you say, "Good people always suffer" and reject them by using law's loophole. Now both IT people died. Who cares? Now that father using his power just like you do and in the near future strategically use that. Fuck off, IT people, who cares? Did you fucking care about those? Karma Good people die early. It is the consequences. I will not raise my voice. Simply, because of you, I suffered once. even I will tell those people with job seekers, keep your mouth shut. Let them play their own game. #Corporate #Company #Work #Culture #Job #freelance #Hiring #People #Women #Men #Management #Disability #Hardwork #hrcommunity #layoffs #hrmanager #Employee #Seniors #Placement #HR #Consulting #Management #Kolkata #DEI #Freshers #placement #interview #linkedin #naukri #jobhunters #DisabilityInclusion #hrscams #scams #scamalert #recruitmentscams #diversity #DiversityInclusion #equality #UK #Europe #US #India #bengali #singapore #PunishVedant #JusticeForAniAsh #bengaliculture #Equality #LGBTQ #lgbtq #owner #entrepreneur #IBM #TCS #Infosys #EY #PWC #MentalHealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #jobhunt #jobseekers #GenderEquality #capgemini #Bangalore #westbengal #bengali

Apart from a hectic life. Previously I had to tell TA or HR about payroll, TDS, itr. Right now, I have to demonstrate to people micro niche sections about their sector and functions because of our startup implementation. Always think that if I got placed right now at least I would be an SM or VP but once rejected because of PWD, bad looks, handsomeness, not a tall boy etc. People say they hire talents. Okay 🤣 #Corporate #Company #Work #Culture #Job #freelance #Hiring #People #Women #Men #Management #Disability #Hardwork #hrcommunity #layoffs #hrmanager #Employee #Seniors #Placement #HR #Consulting #Management #Kolkata #DEI #Freshers #placement #interview #linkedin #naukri #jobhunters #DisabilityInclusion #hrscams #scams #scamalert #recruitmentscams #diversity #DiversityInclusion #equality #UK #Europe #US #India #bengali #singapore #bengaliculture #Equality #LGBTQ #lgbtq #owner #entrepreneur #IBM #TCS #Infosys #EY #PWC #MentalHealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness

Supreme Court took suo moto cognizance. CBI is investigating. The government, and the police, all know that. Now the tricky thing is Tollywood industry made a rally and lots of women were there, one woman empowered actually feminist actress Swastika Mukherjee told the media that she wanted CM to do something to generate trust. An interesting part is she quoted that it is apolitical at first. What rubbish is that? I previously wrote that more than maximum feminism is happening is just for self-profit. RG Kar incident is just exposing the reality, even the reality of woman empowerment execution. A supremely talented lady doctor, who came from a lower middle-class family, just brutally killed and raped by some people and many, even women just showing off. What the hell? I can not trust any Bengali men and women. I just want to leave this place. Can not trust anyone. The harsh reality of the people, workplace and securities. #Corporate #Company #Work #Culture #Job #freelance #Hiring #People #Women #Men #Management #Disability #Hardwork #hrcommunity #Amazon #UK #Employee #USA #Placement #HR #Consulting #Management #Kolkata #DEI #Freshers #placement #interview #linkedin #naukri #jobhunters #DisabilityInclusion #Europe #Microsoft #Google #recruitmentscams #diversity #DiversityInclusion #equality #UK #Europe #England #India #bengali #singapore #bengaliculture #Equality #LGBTQ #MorganStanley #JPMorgan #JPMC #IBM #TCS #Infosys #EY #PWC #MentalHealth #Singapore #mentalhealthawareness #jobhunt #jobseekers #GenderEquality #capgemini #Bangalore

Evolution of technology+market: From 2020 to 2021 end people posted, "Don't expect empathy from HR, do this this this". HR turned vulnerable. Now, from 2022 mid people are posting, "Dear, HR have empathy, career gap happens, not all are 100% perfect etc." Now, they are not helping and those who have jobs close their mouth. Take the blame for your actions. #Corporate #Company #Work #Culture #Job #freelance #Hiring #People #Women #Men #Management #Disability #Hardwork #hrcommunity #layoffs #hrmanager #Employee #Seniors #Placement #HR #Consulting #Management #Kolkata #DEI #Freshers #placement #interview #linkedin #naukri #jobhunters #DisabilityInclusion #hrscams #scams #scamalert #recruitmentscams #diversity #DiversityInclusion #equality #UK #Europe #US #India #bengali #singapore #bengaliculture #Equality #LGBTQ #lgbtq #owner #entrepreneur #IBM #TCS #Infosys #EY #PWC #MentalHealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #jobhunt #jobseekers #GenderEquality #capgemini #Bangalore
