Pharma R&D Leader | Life (Science) Coach - Helping women in science get recognised for their unique brilliance without having to pretend to be someone they are not
You are NOT having a midlife crisis Even if you buy a flashy car Even if you leave your job of X years Even if you suddenly find your voice and ask for what you deserve anyway (imagine!!!!) You know the way people like to add a negative label to a choice they don’t agree with? I have reached the conclusion that ‘mid-life crisis’ is the ultimate example of this. Perhaps you’be always been ‘the quiet one’. The ‘safe pair of hands’ who always said yes? And now you’ve looked around and watched everyone else get where they wanted to be by speaking up. And now it’s your turn. Less midlife crisis More midlife empowerment Less apologetic More self belief and advocacy If you are a senior woman in science and are ready to ask for the recognition you deserve then drop me a note below and I’ll send you information about my new 6 month programme AUTHENTIC AMBITION. A programme designed to empower senior women in science to realise your ambitions without having to compromise who you are (or fit into a box created by someone else). Ready? Pop a 👋 in the comments below and it will be winging its way to you with no commitment. Empowering Professionals to take charge of their own finances. | MDRT 2023, 2024 | IDA | Personal Wealth Manager | Estate Planner
Navigating the challenges of parenthood while excelling in your career can feel like a juggling act. That's why it's crucial to highlight the importance of support for mothers in the workplace. Sarah, the founder of Fourth Wellness, knows this all too well. Her journey as a scientist to stay-at-home mother to entrepreneur was rife with challenges. However, becoming a new mother abroad made her realise the difference in the amount of support provided to mothers in Singapore. 🌼 Sarah found that there was a need for postpartum care for mothers in Singapore, as most gifts were given to the baby and not the mother. 🌼 She conducted research to understand the needs of new mothers and developed products to cater to those needs. 🌼 Sarah believes that a mother can balance motherhood with pursuing her own passion. 🌼 She faced challenges as a new mother, including handling everything on her own and coping with feelings of doubt and guilt. 🎥 Watch her talk about her challenges and coping mechanisms here: https://lnkd.in/gnHgPqq4 Let's shed light on the realities of grappling with the changes of parenthood while working, and the invaluable role that supportive workplaces play in empowering mothers to thrive both personally and professionally. #WorkingMoms #SupportForMothers #Parenthood #WorkLifeBalance #Empowerment #LinkedInDiscussion

Kindness and Wellbeing coach and trainer, I make work better. I transform Leaders / aspiring leaders to create sustainable organisations through kindness and wellbeing. The Kind Librarian.
Here I am with my six week old baby E, the photo is old but the feeling of tiredness (and he slept ... unlike his lockdown baby brother), overwhelm and trying to work out who I am is still a big memory. I now know how much coaching would have helped me before, during and after my maternity leave. It is a lonely thing even with a great support network, nobody else has trodden the same path, your baby is unique, you are unique and your career is unique. This is just one of the many transitions in life women go through and coaching can help with clarity, direction, building confidence, strategic planning, accountability, unbiased feedback, resilience and personal development. #MotherhoodJourney #CoachingForMums #MaternityLeaveSupport #NewMomLife #UniquePaths #PostpartumWellbeing #ParentingTransitions #EmpoweredMotherhood #ResilientMoms #PersonalGrowthJourney #CoachingBenefits #MindfulParenting #LifeTransitions #CareerAndMotherhood #SupportingMoms #WellbeingCoach #EmpowermentThroughCoaching #MotherhoodAndCareer #FindingYourselfPostpartum #MomCoachSupport

Licensed Therapist | Supporting Moms in Nurturing Mental Wellness After Baby 💕 | Empowering Your Postpartum Journey 🌸 Licensed in La, Tx, Mn, and NJ
As a therapist, I understand the challenges that come with balancing motherhood and a career, especially for postpartum moms. I realized that self-care looked different for postpartum moms. Taking care of your mental health and well-being isn't a luxury—it's a necessity. Here are some ways you can prioritize self-care and leverage your strength and resilience to benefit both your career and your family. 1. Create a Self-Care Routine: Dedicate time each day to activities that nourish your soul. Whether it's a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, a short meditation, or reading a book, find what rejuvenates you. 2. Stay Connected: Maintain your social connections. Talking to friends and family can provide emotional support and help you feel less isolated. 3. Exercise Regularly: Physical activity can boost your mood and energy levels. Find a form of exercise you enjoy, even if it's just a walk around the block with your baby. 4. Seek Professional Support: Don’t hesitate to reach out to a therapist or counselor if you need someone. Professional guidance can be invaluable during this time. 5. Set Boundaries: Learn to say no and set boundaries to protect your time and energy. It's okay to prioritize yourself and your needs. Leveraging Strength and Resilience: 1. Acknowledge Your Strengths: Recognize the incredible strength and resilience you've shown in becoming a mother. Use these qualities to navigate challenges both at home and in your career. 2. Transfer Skills: The skills you develop as a mom—multitasking, problem-solving, patience—are invaluable in the workplace. Embrace and utilize them. 3. Communicate Openly: Be open with your employer about your needs and explore flexible working arrangements. Transparency can lead to better understanding and support. 4. Celebrate Small Wins: Every small victory is a step forward. Celebrate these moments and use them as motivation to keep going. 5. Be Kind to Yourself: Remember, it’s okay to not have everything figured out. Give yourself grace and recognize that you’re doing your best. Taking care of yourself is the best way to take care of your family and advance your career. Embrace your journey with strength and resilience, and know that you're not alone. If you need support or someone to talk to, I’m here to help. Together, we can navigate this journey.

As a working mother, managing multiple responsibilities can be a challenge. But what if I told you that taking just 20 minutes a day to meditate can have a massive impact on your life? It certainly did for me! Meditation is crucial for us specially the working mothers. It allows us to prioritize our needs without compromising on our responsibilities. By practicing self-care, we can heal ourselves, take care of our families, and excel in our careers. -It helps us to respond and not react -It helps in being more empathetic It helps in having a strong bond in family and professionally These are just a few of the many benefits which I could feel 😊 Let's make ourselves a priority and give more quality time to our kids. Shoutout to all the lovely and strong mothers out there – keep meditating! #WorkingMothers #Meditation #SelfCare #FamilyAndCareer

💞 impact 🙏 the little things ♻️ role modelling 🎉 wellbeing It was Mothers Day here in France on Sunday and I was given this beautiful gift by my son.... It's only a plant, right? but it symbolises so much more... let me explain... If you've been connected with me for a while, you may know that when my children were younger I had a severe burnout.... I hit rock bottom and that experience affected everything and everyone around me... ❤️🩹 Including my children.... This realisation of how my burnout profoundly affected these precious little beings is what drives me to do what I do. 🎉Supporting other ambitious #parents and #professionals to align themselves with their values, priorities and aspirations first 🎉Supporting them to create their own great wellbeing "go-to's", so they can role model and influence others around them positively 🎉 Helping them to realise their professional and personality potentiality by re-igniting their self worth, confidence, courage and clarity of their unique way forward 🎉 Coaching and mentoring them using all my corporate and life skills and experiences So this plant shows that my son understands and remembers how the little things matter ⏩️ why parental wellbeing is important.... ⏩️ what parental un-wellbeing looked, felt and sounded like... ⏩️ what little things help everyone's wellbeing... Curious to know more? DM me "Wellbeing" and let's talk

What I Wish Someone Had Told Me Before Having Kids and working full-time 👼🏽 🛑 Yes to boundaries Just because you need to leave at a certain time at work doesn't mean you're a low performer. At my first job after pregnancy, I felt guilty for being the first to leave and often made up for it by working late into the night. Stop underselling yourself. Be upfront about your needs and boundaries. 🙋🏽♀️ Support over pride When I founded my first company, I thought my partner and I had to do everything ourselves to save costs and maintain control. That was complete nonsense. To thrive and stay mentally strong, get a support system as early as possible. Don’t be too proud to ask for help, whether it’s from other parents at daycare, coworkers, grandparents, or a nanny. 📋Divide and conquer I'm a huge fan of tables and action items in my professional life. But I completely underestimated their power and necessity at home, especially when both parents are juggling careers and a family. Sit down with your partner, note down action items and split them up. Be clear about what you can do and what you enjoy doing. Otherwise, you might fall into the mental load trap. 👉🏼 Want to share your thoughts and delve into the hard-earned lessons of others? Share them here OR join our first family-career dinner on July 18th in Berlin. 💃🏽 Sign up via link in comments. Paula Pastor Castaño #jumpintotheunkown #careerfamily #networking #learnings —— 💃🏽 BTW: This is only the start of our mission. We are currently working on a coaching program for companies to help them create a more inclusive and supportive workplace. Actively contribute to this mission by sharing your experience of what it takes for career and family to go hand in hand. 💃🏽

Today is Friday. Before joining Rula, I recall the burden of bringing work home and often staying later than necessary to tie up loose ends. Bringing work home was sometimes a physical task; other times, it was the looming stress of unfinished work due to time constraints or shifting priorities. With Rula, I've found a new balance. I now have more time to spend with my family, to be fully present and mindful during these precious moments. It's a relief I never thought possible. -Are you bringing work home with you? -Are you spending too much time on administrative and clerical work and not enough time with your clients? -Are you tired of productivity expectations diminishing the quality of care you can provide? If you've answered 'yes' to any of these questions and you're an independent licensed therapist, social worker, or psychologist, I invite you to reach out. Let's discuss how to reclaim your control over work and start being your own Rula, empowering yourself in the process! By partnering with Rula, you're not just joining a company-you're joining a mission. Our dedication to achieving exceptional outcomes for clients is matched only by our commitment to supporting our therapists. With Rula, you'll have access to top-notch clinical support and resources, allowing you to utilize your energy more efficiently for your clients. This means more time for personal pursuits, family, and self-care. It's time to put yourself first. Rula's mission is not just a statement, it's a call to action. Our mission is to 'Make mental healthcare work for everyone.' This means considering each individual, including the therapist, the client, and ourselves. It's a mission that inspires us every day, and we invite you to be a part of it. Let's chat! Psychologist | Holistic Leadership Coach & Facilitator | Writer ✨Helping mid-career women live intentionally and lead authentically, with passion and purpose ✨ 💫Creator of Soul Seeds on Substack🌱
An amazing article by Sharon Blackie on how to thrive in midlife. So many nuggets, it's hard to pick. But here are a few of my favourites: 1. The changes and challenges we face at midlife are hard, but necessary. Winter is hard, but it’s necessary. 3. Midlife is the time to stop worrying about being different, and to let go of the need to conform to the cultural mythology which insists on defining who women must be. 7. We can’t mend everything. We can’t. And, sometimes, we simply shouldn’t. 9. Midlife is a liminal time, when we hover on the brink of profound transformation. Be gentle with yourself. 10. By the time we reach midlife and begin to approach menopause, women have taken a lot of shit. Rage is a natural response to the disintegration of old certainties and the dawning of new insights. Find ways to safely express it. Anger – and especially righteous anger, or wrath – can be a powerful agent of transformation. Don’t let it burn you up: use it as fuel. 15. Creativity is fundamental to women’s way of being in the world. Create something – anything. Bringing new things into being reminds us that we’re part of a world that, just like we are, is in a constant process of becoming. Creativity can help us through the hardest times, and by helping us to express ourselves, it can help us to discover ourselves. 16. At midlife, many women find themselves longing for solitude and needing more time for introspection. No matter how impossible it might seem, it’s essential to carve out time to simply just be, to listen to what your body is telling you, and to listen for the soft whispers of your intuition. I mean seriously - read the whole article - it's pure gold! #ThrivingInMidlife #WomenInMidlife #MidlifeAwakening #Transformation https://lnkd.in/e6s4mZ_e
