In the summer of 1999, the serene mountains of Kargil were disrupted by a covert invasion by Pakistani forces. Unbeknownst to India, the enemy had occupied strategic peaks in the region, aiming to cut off the vital link between Leh and Srinagar. As the news spread, the Indian Army launched "Operation Vijay" to reclaim the occupied territories. The conflict saw fierce battles at daunting altitudes, with soldiers facing harsh weather and treacherous terrain. Amidst this, stories of extraordinary bravery emerged. Captain Vikram Batra, known for his code phrase "Yeh Dil Maange More!" (This heart desires more!), became a symbol of courage as he led his troops to capture critical points, including the famous Point 4875. His sacrifice and that of countless others are etched in the nation's memory. On July 26, 1999, the Indian Army declared victory, successfully pushing back the intruders and reclaiming the peaks. This day, now known as Kargil Vijay Diwas, is celebrated annually to honor the valor and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought to protect India's sovereignty. #KargilVijayDiwas #KargilHeroes #IndianArmy #OperationVijay #Bravehearts #KargilWar #SaluteToMartyrs #Patriotism #PrideOfIndia #VictoryInKargil #KargilMartyrs #NeverForget #NationFirst #CourageUnderFire #IndiaSalutes #HeroicStories #JaiHind #DefendingTheNation #Kargil1999 #RememberingOurHeroes

Their unmatched #courage, unwavering #commitment, and #selfless #sacrifices stand as the cornerstone of our nation's #security and sovereignty. As we salute these guardians of our freedom, we also acknowledge their remarkable achievements in some of the most challenging and high-risk operations in military history: 1. #OperationVijay (1999)– The Kargil War, where the Indian Army displayed exceptional valor to reclaim strategic peaks under perilous conditions, ensuring national integrity. 2. #OperationMeghdoot (1984) – The daring mission to secure the Siachen Glacier, where soldiers operate in one of the harshest environments on Earth, braving extreme cold and altitude. 3. #OperationCactus (1988) – A swift and precise intervention in the Maldives to thwart a coup, showcasing India's commitment to regional stability amidst political volatility. Black Day of Kashmir October 27th, 1947, marks the day that invading indian military forces imposed indian rule upon the state of Jammu & Kashmir. With over 700,000 troops now deployed there by the indian government, Kashmir is the most militarized place on earth and over the past thirty years has seen the loss of over 90,000 Kashmiri lives and the rape, torture, and enforced disappearance of thousands more. But for Kashmiris at home and abroad, October 27th is more than just a day of sorrow. It is a time for us to renew and affirm our commitment to the pursuit of the Kashmiri right to self-determination. It is a reminder that after decades of indian rule marked by brutality, exploitation, and oppression, we have survived and persevered. To learn more about our resistance and how Kashmiris and our allies observe this day worldwide, tune in to our social media for educational materials and action items. Heroes don’t wear capes, they wear courage, resilience, and the uniform of the Indian Army. Today, we salute Major Mohit Sharma, the man who became one of them to defeat them. Disguised as Iftikhar Bhatt, he lived with terrorists, leaked their plans, and dismantled their networks from within. But his most daring chapter unfolded on 21st March 2009, when he led an operation in Kupwara’s Haphruda Forest, eliminating 4 terrorists before making the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. The Numbers Behind the Legend: ▶️ Ashoka Chakra recipient (2010), India’s highest peacetime gallantry award. ▶️ Operated undercover for 2 years, infiltrating terrorist groups. ▶️ Neutralized dozens of militants with his intelligence and combat skills. ▶️ Saved countless lives with his bravery and sharp strategy. The Twist: He didn’t just fight terrorists,he became one of them. Living with the enemy, risking exposure every second, knowing one mistake could end it all. He redefined the idea of sacrifice, proving that bravery isn’t just about action; it’s about calculated patience and unshakable faith in the mission. Major Sharma’s story isn’t just one of valor, i’s a reminder of the silent battles fought by our soldiers every day. Let’s honor his legacy by asking ourselves: ▶️ Are we doing enough to value their sacrifices? Shat Shat Naman to the Lion of the Nation. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳 Drop your thoughts or tributes below to keep his legacy alive. 🙏
