Exciting news in the world of EPAN and #PrideinAviation The recent general assembly for members allowed, for the first time, the always envisioned full board of directors to be established. Read the following press release! We heartfully thank the previous board of directors Zac Brown, Daniel Rüdel and Bernd Römmelt for getting this vision airborne and all the hard work they did, and all the accomplishments achieved by the entire EPAN team and family. The European Pride in Aviation Network (EPAN) is pleased to announce its new board of directors, following its annual meeting held in early May. Each member will serve a three-year term. The newly appointed EPAN President, Antonio Alhama (he/him), is an experienced Boeing 737NG First Officer for a small charter operator. He earned his five-year degree in Audiovisual Communication in the Complutense University of Madrid, where he was the president of the photographic society. Based in Madrid, Antonio is passionate about the community. Finn Danielsson (they/them), a Swedish-German student pilot, takes on the role of EPAN Vice President. They hold a master’s degree in Translation and Literature Science, along with several years of experience in various aviation positions, including ground handling, dispatch, passenger service, and cabin crew on Boeing 737 and 787 aircraft. They currently live in Gothenburg and Málaga, where they attend flight training. In addition to the President and Vice President, the membership elected the following directors: Daniel Rüdel, Matthias Reinacher, Jan Almeida, Nishant Chaudhary, Alex Olivetti, Lorenzo Gatti, PhD, Bernd Römmelt. “Our focus is returning to our members and the aviation community, ensuring people are at the heart of everything we do,” said EPAN President Antonio. “I believe this new board is well-equipped to meet those needs. I would also encourage anyone who share our passion to volunteer. It is a wonderful way of spending time with like-minded people that will for sure make you feel like you belong.” Finn wants everyone in the community to feel supported. They stated, “No matter if you’re a gay cabin crew, a transgender GA pilot or a bisexual dispatcher. If your sexual orientation or gender identity is causing you concern, we want you to know – you are not alone.
