⭐ According to the annual diversity in tech report by the Tech Talent Charter, 25% of tech employees are from ethnic minorities.⭐ This figure speaks volumes about the work done to promote diversity and inclusivity within the industry, yet it also serves as a reminder of the work ahead to further enhance it. By fostering diverse talent and inclusive environments, the industry has the opportunity to amplify voices that have been historically underrepresented. At Day One, we hope to promote a future where diversity isn't just celebrated, but instead ingrained into the fabric of the industry. #DiversityandInclusion #RepresentationMatters #DayOne

🏳️🌈 Last night, I had the privilege of being a guest speaker and part of a panel discussion at a Pride in Tech event organised in collaboration with Indeed Flex, and it was an enlightening experience. We delved into crucial topics that impact our world today, and I want to share some thoughts from our discussion. 🌍 Understanding the LGBTQIA+ experience worldwide is essential in today's interconnected world. Human rights are universal, and it's imperative that we recognize and respect them everywhere. The diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community across the globe is vast, and our approach to inclusion needs to be equally diverse and tailored. 🏡 Building a foundation for inclusion isn't a one-size-fits-all task. In global companies, embracing diversity should be a core value, but it should also adapt to each unique cultural context. 🗣 Cultural understanding and sensitivity play a vital role. Respect for local customs and norms, while upholding global human rights standards, is key. 💖 To foster a workplace that embraces diversity, organizations must provide support and resources for employees of all sexual orientations and gender identities. This support should be consistent, whether you're in New York, Dubai, or Tokyo. 👥 Adopting an intersectional outlook is also crucial. Recognizing the multifaceted identities that individuals hold can lead to more comprehensive and effective strategies for inclusion. Global companies must take a tailored approach to inclusivity when working across borders. This means acknowledging and addressing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals in different regions. It means celebrating their unique contributions and perspectives. What strategies can globally-facing organizations use to create an environment where employees of all sexual orientations and gender identities feel supported and respected? That's the question we explored, and it's a question that needs continued attention and action. It's clear that the value of seeing inclusion through a global lens is more important than ever. Let's continue to work together to create a world where all employees can thrive, no matter who they are or where they come from. Thank you to the Tech in Pride event for providing this platform, and thanks to my fellow panelists for their valuable insights. 🌈 #DiversityandInclusion #TechInPride #InclusivityMatters #DiversityequityandInclusion #indeeflex #wehelppeoplegetjobs
