It is time to stop the insanity of doing things the same way and hoping to get a different outcome. From this article: "Said another way, because it’s killing patients with over and under treatment. It’s killing caregiver morale. The financial toxicity is bankrupting the people it is supposed to be serving, and it’s undermining the mission and practice of primary care." Changing to a system with prepaid care that integrates smart data is vital to achieving the goal of adding years to the life and life of the years of those in need of care. This article begins the conversation on what advanced primary care is, and how to begin to deploy it. #advancedprimarycare #APC #PrepaidMedicalCare Christine Arnold Steve Schutzer, MD John Rodis, MD, MBA, FACHE, CPHQ, Lisa Trumble Ryan Schmidt Jordan Taradash Lee Lewis Scott Haas Brian Klepper Peter Hayes Kathy McKeon, R.N., M.P.H.CSM Dave Chase, Health Rosetta-discovering archaeologist Al Lewis 🇺🇦 Vidar Jorgensen Elizabeth Mitchell Christopher Gormley Les Wilkinson John Bass Michael Brouthers Mike Baldzicki A. Evidence leading to action creates the momentum we need to shift up. Disrupt old expectations of how to get the work done! ✅
Beautifully executed primary care research and report from the MAP Centre. However, nothing surprising found within it's pages. The evidence for primary care reform and what patients want and need has been clear for years, it's the political will to invest in the foundation of our healthcare system that is lacking. https://lnkd.in/g9gwkffm

KFF (Kaiser Family Foundation) Health News senior correspondent Julie Appleby explains in this 2:30 video how primary care is changing in the U.S. and what it portends for the future. “More than 100 million Americans don’t have regular access to primary care, a number that has nearly doubled since 2014,” Appleby writes. “Yet demand for primary care is up, spurred partly by record enrollment in Affordable Care Act plans. Under pressure from increased demand, consolidation, and changing patient expectations, the model of care no longer means visiting the same doctor for decades.” Complicating the problem is a growing shortage of primary care physicians. https://ow.ly/Gzlv50Rcjro #primarycare #eldercare #doctorpatient #physicians #healthcare

Advanced Primary Care (APC) is a complete game changer. It is the front door to better health. No waiting on phone for 15 minutes, Immediate appointments even same day, more time spent with your doctor. This is how you do value based care instead of fee based care.
"Primary care in the U.S. is not functioning as it should be..." but how is advanced primary care different and where is it filling the gaps when primary care falls short? We are excited to sponsor a newsletter with Christina Farr and co-author Jared Augenstein for "Everything you need to know about advanced primary care."
