Most people only apply for jobs they’re qualified for. 🤐 When you’re looking for a new job - really vet the day-to-day role and skills required for the position. If you’re an expert in 100% of the skills and qualifications needed, you won’t be challenged or grow in this role. Instead, look for positions you’re *mostly* qualified for but want to learn the other skills needed. Grow with your role.

I get this question a lot from friends and colleagues: “Should I apply for this job?” I often check out the job description and say, "You're totally ready for this" But then, they don't apply Why? Usually, it comes down to two things: ⭐️ Thinking they’re not good enough ⭐️ Spotting something in the job description that they don’t have When you hold back, you're potentially giving up on a chance that could be the opportunity you've been dreaming of. Here’s my take: if you meet about 70% of the job description, go for it and apply! You’ve got nothing to lose. What do think?

🗣Don't let the number of applicants deter you from pursuing your dream job It's not uncommon to see job postings with hundreds of applicants, but here's a little secret: from my experience, a significant portion of those applicants might not even meet the qualifications or be located where the job is offered. So, if you have the skills, qualifications, and genuinely believe you'd be a great fit for the role, don't hesitate to apply! After all, you'll never know unless you take the opportunity. Your unique talents and experiences could be exactly what the employer is looking for. Remember, it's not about being the most qualified candidate; it's about being the right fit. So go ahead, submit that application and let your potential shine!

Let’s be clear; if I applied to the role, your first email doesn’t need to ask me if I’m interested in applying for the role. Learn to read, and stop wasting my valuable time.
