Starting a career in aviation maintenance doesn’t need to come with high tuition or testing costs. A recent survey looked into reasons why people did not take the FAA mechanic test in aviation school, and over a quarter of respondents mentioned high test costs as a significant factor. In an effort to open the doors to aviation maintenance career opportunities, the MHIRJ Academy offers 8 weeks of paid training and a full-time job upon completion. Pilot aptitude tests are a form of psychometric testing that provide an insight into your suitability for a role or training program. They assess the core pilot competencies set out by The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and any other key areas defined by the organisation you are applying to – as they may have their own additional requirements. You’ll likely continue these types of tests throughout your pilot career, particularly if you move to a different aircraft fleet, upgrade from a First Officer to a Captain, or move into a complimentary flying role such as instructing. By measuring these criteria airlines and organisations can make sure that they have the right people in the right positions, which is one way to enhance safety, as well as ensuring that the employed pilots fit that organisation’s work culture. Watch our video on ‘How ready are you to commence pilot training’ to learn more about: • Why Pilot Aptitude Tests are important • What is being tested • What type of environment you should take the tests in • Looking at why you want to be a pilot • The Core Pilot Competencies You can view it here: https://lnkd.in/e4ZDK8dn #pilotassessments #pilottraining #aviation #aviationindustry #pyschology #airlines

Why Are EASA, FAA, and UK Licenses Essential, But ICAO Type II Isn’t? If aircraft maintenance follows global SOPs set by OEMs like Boeing and Airbus, why is the ICAO Type II license, recognized by ICAO and its member states, not enough to secure jobs? Why must experienced engineers with ICAO licenses face additional hurdles, while doing the same work as those with EASA, FAA, or UK licenses? Isn’t it time for regulatory bodies to recognize ICAO Type II licenses and create pathways for equal opportunities globally? #ICAO, #EASA, #FAA, #CAAUK, International Civil Aviation Organization, EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency, Civil Aviation Authority, Pakistan Airports Authority, Civil Avaition Authority of Pakistan
