This is a story about Emily Trantum, who exhibited the earliest stages of type 1 diabetes at 24 years old. Due in part to her age, she was misdiagnosed twice - first with prediabetes and then with type 2 diabetes – but she wasn’t officially diagnosed with type 1 diabetes until age 30!
