Ever wondered about the difference between using an Umbrella company and agency PAYE? Both offer statutory benefits like sick pay, but there’s a key difference. Our Contractor Services Manager, Emma Shrader explains… ➡ An umbrella company provides a contract of employment. This Umbrella contract can facilitate multiple assignments at 1 time which means whether you do one assignment or many, you’re employed under the same contract. All your earnings are processed together on one payslip per payment cycle, which is great for keeping a consistent work record. This can be useful for things like mortgage applications and meeting security clearance criteria. Plus, you can opt for salary sacrifice to contribute to your pension more tax-efficiently. ➡Agency PAYE uses a contract for services, this is a “worker” contract, not an employment contract. Understanding these differences can help you choose the right setup for your contracting needs. A PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) is a handy arrangement that lets employers cover certain tax and National Insurance contributions on behalf of their employees. It's perfect for those small, irregular, or impractical-to-report benefits, like gifts or staff entertainment. With a PSA, instead of processing these perks through your employees' payroll, you pay a lump sum to cover the tax due. This makes things easier for both you and your team, ensuring everyone enjoys the benefits without the extra admin hassle! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/enSt_ETR 📞 020 3962 4212 #Payroll #PayrollServices #Alliance #AllianceCombined #PAYE #PSA #PAYESettlementAgreement
