Another great day on the course representing Print NW as a sponsor of Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound’s Don & Helen Murphy Memorial Golf Tournament. Fun seeing my fellow Marketing Committee members while coming together to raise funds for a great cause. As a previous South End Boys & Girls Club kid these full circle moments aren’t lost on me. We are the result of those that invest in us, lead us, inspire us, push us and believe in us. We must rise to the challenge of supporting the next generation, just as our community of supporters did for us.

Community impact? The primary impact of this firms business model increases homelessness (currently at 10K+ homeless people on any given night) by gentrifying neighborhoods and forcing people who make less money out.
"Global day for people and planet" yet the firm musters up 2 small bins of mostly dog and cat food...this doesn't even align.
How about taking on projects that actually help to reduce the number of homeless people in the city instead of ones that are for the affluent population and for corporations to profit from.
I hope other architecture studios in Toronto can learn from these fake displays of positive community impact. Many studios like this promote themselves as doing good but really at a foundational socio-economic level, they drive some of the biggest problems in the city.

Hi colleagues, have you ever wanted to see how you can leverage the dreaded school fundraisers as an intentional way to build leadership skills for your kids? I'll share with you what I'm doing with my daughter in this first public event they are doing.
Normally I shy away from these as I don't like peddling for money for kids fundraising. I love supporting others and tend to do that instead of asking for your engagement. I'm realizing that's not a great relationship and need to do better.
So instead, I'm going to use this event to help my daughter learn leadership skills. Through this challenge I'll be focusing on the following:
1) Creating presence and personal brand identity
2) Having a personal vision, mission and values to work towards
3) Enjoying the process, measuring growth, and setting new goals
