So what did you do this weekend? For me and Valerie and out cat, we have to vacate our place because management had to re-glaze our bathrooms in order to pass City of LA inspection. Rather than just stay at some lame, nearby hotel for around two hundred bucks a night, and basically do nothing. Decided to something much more interesting. We went to a farm. In a treehouse. Really. Turned out to be a great idea. Like a lot of us here, we’re all pretty stressed out. I’ve been working a lot and haven’t had much time to destress. This trip did that. We stayed on a farm in a city called Fillmore, which was just an hour away from LA, and nothing like LA. Got to hang out with chickens, hens, roosters, goats, a pig and even a turkey. Came back feeling much more relaxed and ready for the weeks ahead with three new clients on board in just the past week. Not to mention we came back with lots of avocados, oranges, lemons and grapefruit and about twenty warm, pasture raised eggs we picked. This was the best vacation we’ve had in five years and this might become an annual thing for us. Maybe not this farm necessarily but certainly another farm we’ll find on AirBNB or VRBO or wherever. I can’t tell you how great this trip was for stress relief. Now if just the WiFI was better…. BTW, that’s not our cat. That’s one of the four cats surrounding the premises. #staycation #venturacounty #farm #treehouse

You know what’s a BIG FLEX? Cooking organic spinach from the first community garden you launched in your neighbourhood. The reason this is a big flex is that this garden fought to produce spinach despite cows constantly eating from it, little maintenance, and no consistent water supply. One of our biggest challenges was water, but God said, “My baby (me) is launching a community garden in a place with no water supply, so I will make it rain like never before.” Yey it’s been raining… This is to say your dreams may look crazy, but they are possible. Like launching a community garden “ehlathini” (in a bush) with no water supply, no garden equipment, no extra hands, barely a fence to protect it, and limited resources. So wena just start, and God will do the rest. #SustainableImpact #FoodSecurity #GrowthMindset
