We are proud to announce today that we have successfully been awarded Continued Professional Development (CPD) Accreditation for the Public Sector Supply Ready (PSSR) accreditation. Each business that graduates the PSSR accreditation will also get a certificate confirming 12 hours CPD in addition to a certificate of completion from Go4Growth. For those businesses that have already graduated the PSSR, we will issue the CPD certificate retrospectively and we hope that this additional accreditation will ensure that achieving the PSSR delivers many benefits including helping to prepare for public sector opportunities. Gillian Askew FCIPS, Director of Go4Growth says "The purpose of Go4Growth is to provide the best support possible to businesses and voluntary sector organisations who want to enter and grow in the public sector. We've worked hard to try and ensure that the PSSR is as useful as possible to anyone undertaking the accreditation and the addition of 12 hours CPD (which is often admissible in bids and tenders) will hopefully be a welcomed additional benefit. It is a proactive approach to learning and development, ensuring that individuals stay relevant in their respective fields and adapt to changes in their industries. What are CPD Credits? Simply put, CPD credits are a tool to gage how much CPD a learner has accomplished. Why are CPD credits important? With the ever-growing requirement for professionals, cross sector, to complete, record and evidence their ongoing professional development activities, offering CPD credits to your learners is an excellent selling point. Learners will be able to log CPD credits in their portfolio as proof of professional development and they will have recordable evidence of their new skills to add to their CV and log with their employer, regulator, or professional body. How are CPD Credits measured? Usually, how many hours you spend on an activity determines how many CPD credits are associated with it. If a classroom course lasts 5 hours, for example, you will earn 5 CPD credits for it. It's important to note that this only includes the hours spent actively engaging in learning. Two courses that span over different periods of time may still carry the same amount of CPD credits. For example, one course may span over 12 weeks, but learning takes place for an hour each week. A different course may take place over two days, but learners are in the classroom for 6 hours each day. Both of these courses will be worth 12 CPD credits, as learners were engaged in learning for 12 hours total in each case. When I first encountered digital credentials, I was intrigued by their potential. Over the past five years, my belief in their transformative power has only grown stronger. They can truly change lives by opening up new opportunities and pathways to success. Our 2024 State of Credentialing report reveals that while digital credentials are favored by learners, many are still unaware of their full potential.
