The Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”), 740 ILCS 14/1 et. seq., is one of the most hotly litigated privacy statutes in the country. While not all the “agreed” or “agreed in principle” amendment proposals are adopted and included in the Bill, this Bill is just the first tranche of the reforms – more is yet to come.
