Significant improvement works are underway to enhance the travel experience for passengers, according to George Saounatsos, governor of the Hellenic Aviation Service Provider (HASP). 📈✈️ In response to a 19% rise in commercial flights and a 26% increase in passenger traffic during 2022-2023, extensive upgrades are being implemented. These include a 2,100-square-meter extension and renovation project with a budget of €10 million, as well as a €22 million runway infrastructure upgrade. 🏗️ Key improvements feature the extension of the landing runway by 300 meters, new seating, improved security measures, and enhanced facilities for a more comfortable passenger experience. Business aviation provides a travel link to many communities with little or no access to airline services. Through the #bizav industry, smaller communities can connect with friends and family, or businesses can connect with clients and customers. Private or corporate aircraft can access the smaller community airports away from the major hubs. Smaller jets and aircraft can access more airports than commercial planes, giving the private and corporate aviation world access to more communities in need of air travel.
