Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX:AAJ) managing director Glenn Grayson speaks with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson about the optimism surrounding the company’s newly acquired Bortala #Copper Project in Queensland’s Mt Isa copper belt. An initial review has identified several promising areas for copper-gold mineralisation with these targets found in favourable geological, structural and geophysical settings. Historical exploration at R9 target produced results of up to 1.9 g/t #gold in rock chips and various drilling outcomes, including 18 metres at 0.18% #copper, 2 metres at 0.25 g/t gold, 4 metres at 0.36% #lead and 5 metres at 0.44% #zinc. On the cusp of expanded discovery for Chakana Copper Corp (TSX.V:PERU)(OTC:CHKKF)(FRA:1ZX)

Chilwa Minerals has received the initial rare earth element assay results from the ongoing sonic drill program at the Mposa deposit, part of the Chilwa Project in southeast Malawi. The sonic drill program is predominantly planned for the assessment of the heavy #mineralsands potential of the project. During early tests to determine the depth to basement, up to 40m of clays were identified below the mineral sands horizon. Subsequent follow up analysis is currently underway to assess the presence of the #REEs that were not analysed for, as well as to understand the mineralogy and distribution of the REEs in the Mposa HMS deposit. Map of Rare Earthe Element mineral deposit types and advanced-stage exploration projects in EU and Greenland (Source: EURARE; ERECON; FRAME).  The exploitable resources of rare earths in the Kvanefjeld, Kringlerne, and Norra Kärr deposits can alone supply Europe's needs for decades to come.  The Swedish iron miner LKAB reported that, more than one million tons of rare earth metals, in the form of Rare Earth Oxides will be produced as by-products from apatite, together with phosphorus, in the Per Geijer/Kiruna iron oxide –apatite (IOA) deposit. 

Asian Battery Minerals Ltd managing director Gan-Ochir Zunduisuren joins Proactive’s Elisha Newell to discuss the company’s imminent #ASXlisting and vision for Mongolian #batteryminerals. The junior exploration company is based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where it’s exploring for economically viable deposits of #criticalminerals such as #graphite, #lithium and #nickel #copper #platinumgroupelements (PGE). ABM’s primary focus is the Oval nickel-copper-PGE project, a magmatic mafic sulphide asset which was discovered last year. Zunduisuren heralds the project as strategically important due to its proximity to several large metal deposits in China, which enhances its economic potential.
