C29 Metals Ltd (ASX:C29)’s first-ever reverse circulation (RC) drill program at Mayfield Copper-Gold Project, in the globally recognised Mt Isa Inlier of northwest Queensland, has yielded some promising results. The program kicks off a comprehensive exploration strategy for the company, focused on unveiling the full potential of the 100% owned asset. The seven deep RC holes, each surpassing 250 metres in depth, hit some substantial copper mineralisation with gold as well. Among the highlights was a standout intersection of 12 metres at 1.55% copper and 0.17 parts per million (ppm) gold from a depth of 48 metres, including a high-grade section of 3 metres at 4.88% copper and 0.40ppm gold from 56 metres. Antipa Minerals Limited (ASX:AZY) has unveiled the final assays from phase two 2023 diamond drilling at its wholly owned Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia's Paterson Province, which point to significant gold discoveries with copper to boot. A second diamond core drill hole at the GEO-01 prospect returned 27 metres at 0.7 g/t gold from 34 metres downhole, including an 8-metre section at 1.4 g/t gold and a notable 1 metre at 4.8 g/t gold. Another section showed 23 metres at 0.8 g/t gold and 0.02% copper, pointing to the presence of high-grade #gold and #copper mineralisation. Riversgold Limited (ASX:RGL) is back on the drills at its Northern Zone Gold Project, 25 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The new campaign, to be conducted on a nominal 25-metre grid, has been designed to extend promising results from the maiden reverse circulation (RC) and aircore campaigns, which revealed shallower supergene gold mineralisation. Drilling will target the shallow, up-dip portion of the mineralised system, following a significant intersection of 18 metres at 4.14 g/t gold from 36 metres in the initial drilling phase. This new, two-week phase will target the identified fault, believed to be a controlling feature of mineralisation, involving some 1,500 metres of drilling to depths between 60 and 70 metres. We're pleased to report results from a further 35 holes drilled at our large-scale Letlhakane Uranium Project in Botswana, with 134 reverse circulation holes and 10 diamond holes now reported. Our CEO Greg Bittar commented: “As we move towards the conclusion of our infill program at Letlhakane, we continue to be extremely pleased with the drilling results. Out of 144 holes reported, 141 have intersected uranium mineralisation, confirming the continuity and grade. Furthermore, we have intersected the thickest continuous zones of mineralisation seen so far at the deposit, including 26.1m at 265ppm. "At the same time, we continue to intersect narrow high-grade lodes within these broader mineralised zones, with the latest intercepts grading up to 2,053ppm eU3O8, more than six times the current resource grade. "Diamond drilling at Serule West is complete and we are now drilling at Gorgon West for further QAQC validation as well as samples for the metallurgical test work program to optimise Letlhakane’s processing flowsheet. Building on strong results in April, Orion Minerals Ltd (ASX:ORN, JSE:ORN) has received more ‘exceptional’ assay results from ongoing diamond drilling at the Flat Mine East section of its Okiep Copper Project (OCP) in the Northern Cape, South Africa. Headline results include 9.27 metres at 3.01% copper and 15 metres at 4.80% within a broader 78-metre interval averaging 1.57%, 50 metres along strike from the previously reported hole; 49.35 metres at 5.05% copper, including 21.66 metres at 9.41%; and 50 metres at 1.09% copper, including 18 metres at 1.44% within a broader 116.90-metre interval averaging 0.75%. These results confirm historical data from drilling by Goldfields of South Africa in the 1990s and support the geological interpretations incorporated in the mineral resource modelling for the Okiep Project. Coverage stock Talisman Mining (ASX: TLM) has provided an important update with respect to ongoing exploration activity at its Lachlan Copper-Gold Project in NSW. Current activity is focused on the Durnings Prospect, where TLM has today released its latest drilling results that have seen the company’s share price climb by 25%. The Lachlan Project spans the Canbelego-Mineral Hill Volcanic Belt between Condobolin and Canbelego in NSW, being prospective for large scale porphyry copper-gold and VMS style copper-lead-zinc-silver deposits. Significant mineralised zones have been logged from the first follow-up diamond hole, whilst several step-out RC holes have potentially intersected the Upper mineralised zone along strike - recording anomalous sulphur, zinc, lead and copper readings from pXRF field analysis. Collectively, these results demonstrate that Durnings is emerging as a significant greenfields base and precious metal discovery. The current work program will play an important role in generating an accurate picture of the orientation and style of the lead-zinc-silver-copper-gold sulphide mineralization. TLM’s funding position is boosted by its Wonmunna Iron Ore Royalty, where since the commencement of production in March 2021, TLM has received total royalty payments of $15.1 million.
