🔧 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐁𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝? 🔄 Regular visual inspections should be conducted to check for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. If the extinguisher shows signs of damage or wear, it may need replacement. 🔍 The bottom of the extinguisher is part of the regular visual inspection. This applies to 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑! 🚨 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐈𝐭? 🤔 This applies to powder extinguishers, where the powder can become caked. There are two schools of thought on this: some say it's unnecessary, others say it's necessary to shake it. I was taught that it should be done. Regardless, you still need to turn it to inspect the bottom. 👀 I've noticed that many people do not check the bottom because it requires lifting and turning the extinguisher. Or they simply do not understand the regulations because it doesn't specifically say to turn the extinguisher. While it doesn't explicitly state this, it does require checking the entire extinguisher. ✅

Are you aware of the 5-year internal sprinkler pipe inspection? Many people ask if it's a "real thing." Well, the answer is yes! This NFPA 25-mandated inspection is crucial in ensuring your fire sprinklers' piping is in good condition. The inspection should be done every five years, no matter where you are located in the country. During the inspection, Sprinkler Technicians look for rust, corrosion, buildup, blockages, and even debris like rocks that can cause issues for your system. The purpose of the inspection is to make sure your sprinkler system works correctly in the event of an emergency. By keeping up with your 5-year internal inspections, you can improve the safety of your property by resolving any internal problems that could lead to a fire sprinkler head failure in the event of an emergency. Don't wait, schedule your inspection today!

Struggling to find a safe blasting solution? You need this ASAP! When the ASAP 2.0 Safety System is paired with a 3-position trigger deadman, the operator can normally shutdown the ASAP without releasing compressed air and grit. The blaster can shut off the blast air and grit flow before opening the pinch ram to the exhaust port, allowing the operator to safely shift and make minor adjustments. This function helps cutdown on wear at the pinch point, extending the life of the discharge hose and reducing the need for maintenance.

🔥 Safety Tip of the Week! 5-year internal pipe inspections are required for both wet and dry systems (NFPA 25). Not sure if you’ve had this done in the last 5 years? If you don’t see the specific tag on your system, you most likely have not had it done. In the event of a fire, you want to be sure there aren’t any blockages, corrosion or other obstructions that could prevent water from flowing at the most critical of times. #BetterSafeThanSorry
