Global Financial Expert | Professor of Finance | Dean Management Sciences Former | Academic & Accreditation Advisor | Financial Researcher | HEC R&D Executive | Principal Business School Former
By sheer amount of acknowledgement to the guest of honor that we have today the respective D Islamabad campus, some thanking for bringing your presence to grace the occasion industrial symposium. They are incomplete without having the significance of these knowledge partners from the industry. So I would give a very deep sense of the acknowledgement towards our respective the guests from the industry. I'm using the word you are the knowledge partner, you are coming as a custodian of the skills, the competencies. That has been associated with you being the the expert of the different field of their life. When we need to find out? What is a relevancy? What is the impact of the research which is associated with the discourse of the universities? So then it becomes a very seminal thought that we have to come up with the significance that we need to have the relevancy and the impact of the research. So from this point of view, the sudden initiative that is on the part of the very Business School before, I would speak more towards the significance of these, the forum that we are holding today. We are all set. So we are all set today towards the global hallmarks of the world, Double CP. This is the this is the issue with the mic. We are all set today towards the global accords double CP today. I think it's OK. That's fine, it's in House session. So coming up with the the voice of the Business School towards the the global, the hallmarks. By the grace of Allah. Today we have the membership of the WCSB that is one of the the Collegiate Association of the World, the business schools. They are coming up with a certain hallmarks, their first hallmark that is coming towards what is the impact which is associated with the knowledge tribes that you are giving as a discourse through the different programs of your academic portfolio. The second, they want to see how much you are associated with the the STG's in terms of the alignment of your programs and in terms of the the diversity that is leading towards the inclusion and the and the the belongingness. So from that point of view on the one side we have to bring at power the significance that is coming with the voice of the the impact which is associated with the research. But at the same time we have to look into how we are going to close the loop and of the day we have to demonstrate the value of the research we have to demonstrate the value of. Education, the demonstration of the value of the education, believe me that is not coming through this academic transcript. We have to demonstrate the value of the competencies what the skill that is been associated. So this is one of the the global hallmark that we we are all set. We we are thinking with a design thinking today that we have to bring at bar the demonstration of the value that is demonstrating the skills and the values. But at the same time the thing that is very close to the the thinking process of the university that is. Be a sustainable relationship that we need to develop with the our knowledge partners they're coming from the industry. When I see the discourse that we receive from the industry this discourse that is working in the silos. We as the custodian of the knowledge as a professor of of the epidemics we are working in the silos. On the other part industry they are working in the silos. So we are we are all set today how we have to break this glass here there we speak the same language if I want to see what's happening in the financial industry. Suburb, what is the direction, what is the road map where we need to bring towards the capitalization of the potential. There has been more towards the social economic development of the economy. So from that point of view we need to have a seminar voice that is coming on the one side as the strategic direction that is coming from the industry that is going to strengthen me towards the academic portfolios. But at the same time your contribution not coming as the the westing faculty, we want to see your role that is very beyond. I want to see it should be the part of the the departmental board of studies. You should be the part of the departmental research committees, become the part of the strategic bodies of the universities where you are going to find out what are the these areas, what is the latency. So from these the holistic or the point of view on the one side we have to be relative. But we are coming up with a very design thinking where end of the day we have to cultivate the impact this impact that need to be capitalized towards the socioeconomic development of the economies SO3 important perspectives. We are all set for the global accords now. It's the global barrier Business School that is revamp according to the the impact and the relevancy of the research and the education that is being capitalized towards the employability on the one side, but as well as towards the change of the mindset of the students from the job seeking towards the job creation. And secondly, we are coming up with the special interest groups SI, GS that is buildable. They would have it liaison with the relevant industry you speak in terms of your supply chain. Management, project management, finance, what's going on? So these SDG's as a team leads, they would have a very close liaison with you. So please give the pain line the Gray areas where you need to have the scientific solutions from the Business School. We have the experts here, the professor of practice, they are the custodian of the body of knowledge. You are the custodian of the the body of the skills and competencies. So these the matching principle where we need to speak the same language and we we want to share our satellites. It's very important where we are going to contribute towards. With this sense of the design thinking, which country putting towards the uplift of the society. So from this the underlying philosophy based event that we are holding today, we want to see the validation that is not just coming towards what is the impact of the research. If I am the supervisor, if I am the examiner, I'm speaking the academic communication, believe me, I am not going to give the what's the economic reality is taking place. From that point of view. We want to bring another interface where we are giving you the opportunity as the experts. Other industry you want to give your validation this research, how much this is latent, how much this research is towards the implication that is the need of the industry. So looking into the significance of this forum where we want to see the two validation. One is the scientific scientific validation that is the purview of the supervisor, that is the purview of the professor of practice sitting as the examiners. But we need to find out what is the the requisite part on the part of of the industry where you need to find out how we need to revamp the scope of these. Research project and where we are going to end of the day repository that is going to be deposited in the Bank of the industry as well. So with these a seminal voice now we are all set towards the guests are founder said he's going to share what is the strategic direction of the Business School and where we want to see your significance that is more associated as a knowledge partner from the industry. Thank you.
Reflecting on the transformative power of grassroots research in my journey to understand India's pressing development issues. Immersing myself in local communities has provided invaluable insights, shaping my perspective on effective solutions and research direction.
The collective power of evidence from data and the stories from the interaction with people at the grassroots level is immense. That should fuel the engine of research and advocacy.

How do you raise issues to inform policy?
Committees are a great place to start! These are small groups of MPs or Senators who scrutinize government policy and study issues that matter to Canadians. They engage with experts (like you😉) to gather information.
Is a committee pursuing a study relevant to your expertise?
1) Submit a briefing note! Provide opinions and recommendations. Keep in mind the committee’s mandate, their study objectives, and prior testimony they've heard.
2) Request to appear before a Committee! Committees gather evidence for their study by inviting individuals and organizations to testify. If you have something to say, you can request to appear too!
