In recent months, some young people who had signed up with me for a vidped failed to show up. No message before or after. I felt very frustrated by it. Part of the problem is that there is no fee to book a slot. But, I don't want any money from young people. So, here's my new condition: "To do a vidped with me, you have to donate (at least) Rs 50 to an NGO of your choice and tell me that you have done it. No receipt needed - just your word is OK. Or, if you don’t have the money, tell me that you cannot do it, and we will do the vidped without the donation. Please send this donation-confirmation message 1-2 days before your time slot. It will be a reconfirmation that you will be present for the meeting." Let's see if this reduces the no-shows. BTW, I have not had a single senior no-show - they always let me know if they cannot make it.

Did you know in-kind donations need acknowledgement letters too? It helps your donors with taxes and shows your appreciation! Make sure your letter includes these key details: 1️⃣ Your Organization's Name: Let them know who they generously supported! 2️⃣ Tax-Exempt Status: Confirm their donation is tax-deductible (if applicable). 3️⃣ Donation Date: Keep records clear. 4️⃣ Description of Donation: Detail what they donated (they determine the value for tax purposes). 5️⃣ Disclosure for "Quid Pro Quo" Gifts: If they received something in return (worth over $75), mention it. #DonorAppreciation #InKindDonations #Nonrofit #Fundraising

People aren’t giving you money to fund programs. They’re donating to see results. This is an easy principle to forget. At the end of the day, your donor wants to see a beneficial change for the people or cause they are supporting. Over time, we begin to buy into the high quality of our programs (your programs are awesome, btw) and we begin to forget this is not what the donor is funding. The donor is funding a changed life. A child saved. An outcome reached. Results. Tell the donor what she will accomplish with her donation. You'll get the results you're hoping for. #nonprofit #fundraising

💞Thinking of giving back this year? Why sell appreciated stock when you could donate it? If you’ve held onto stocks for over a year, donating them to a tax-qualified charity could allow you to deduct the fair market value on your taxes and may help the charity avoid capital gains tax. This option could potentially make a bigger impact than a cash donation! Check out the following article to learn more and remember to consult with a trusted advisor. #charitablegiving #taxplanning https://lnkd.in/gj7eTsRg
