Should I keep tools in my truck? Yes you should !!! You never know when you'll need a tool, so keeping an easily accessible toolkit in your BIG RIG is a good idea. We recommend a toolkit that includes electrical tape, a socket set, pliers, wire strippers, screw drivers, zip ties, duct tape, an air pressure gauge and combination wrenches. I want to ease into the subject of inching pedals for a moment, and why proper adjustment is crucial to the overall health of your equipment. As you may know, an inching pedal on a forklift is designed to offer the following: • Maneuverability in Confined Spaces. • Gentle and Accurate Load Handling. • Optimized Pallet Placement. How does it work? When you depress the inching pedal, a bypass (dump) valve diverts the flow/pressure from the transmission valve body to the transmission sump, allowing you to maintain engine rpm's and maneuver more precisely. An improperly adjusted inching pedal can drastically increase heat by not fully diverting the fluid flow from the transmission valve body, leaving your transmission clutch packs still partially engaged and pulling against the brakes. Short term: Increased engine, coolant, and transmission temperatures because your cooling system is having to work harder to dissipate the additional heat. Potentially causing overheating fault codes, limp-mode, and cooling system failures. Long term: Burned clutch disc's in the transmission, failed torque converters, head gasket failures. Here is a short video of one of our screw feeders feeding onto an in-line track. This bowl tooling uses the weight of the threads and gravity to hang the part by its head. Anytime you can use weight to hang a part, it’s a positive orientation method. This part is being fed into a starwheel for a coating application.
