Welcome to the sixth post of the Team member memories series! 🎞️ 2019 was my first season with the team, not a bad beginning looking back. The tournament was quite tough (duh! Its worlds), and we weren’t sure going into alliance selection if we had been able to show off our skills enough to get picked, but we were lucky enough to end up in an alliance with BHS TechnoDogs, 217 Thunderchickens and 1218 Schrobotics. I don’t think the alliance would have worked as well as it did with any of the teams swapped out, every round was seemingly a nail biter, with only the semi finals of our division not going to a third match. But what I remember best was the comradery that comes with such an alliance, how it felt we were all in it together, win or lose, which makes winning it all together all the more special! Einstein itself was a whirlwind, the round robin left no space for mistakes, with 6 alliances that were all serious contenders for a finals spot. Lose the wrong game and it could all be virtually over early in the round robin. We were incredibly happy to qualify for the finals at Ford Field, where after three incredibly close matches we won the world title, scoring just one point more in the decider than a stacked Archimedes alliance.
