Are you just a “headcount” or do you really count? One of the key metrics we track in HR is our headcount. If you ask me, this metric in itself is vain except you are able to drill it further to get more value. Now out of that headcount(number of employees), only a few people’s voice count. 👉They make the decisions 👉Their ideas are accepted 👉They determine the direction of the business 👉They influence decisions Ultimately they matter in the grand scheme of things, at whatever level they are playing. Now ask yourself, does your voice really count? Becoming a person that matters requires intentional effort. It doesn’t just happen because you are a good person. You must be able prove your worth at every given opportunity. So how do you make yourself count? ✅Develop your knowledge/depth: commit yourself to doing a lot of research. Know everything there is to know about a subject matter of interest to your organization. Invest in building relevant skills. ✅Speak up: when you attend meetings, always go prepared, read up on the meeting agenda, prepare questions and have ideas you can share ✅Be generous: when there is a project or problem, make yourself available to help. Develop useful skills that make you a person of choice. ✅Be curious: always ask intelligent questions. Think beyond the surface. ✅Be prepared always: the opportunity to speak can arise at any time and you don’t always have a second chance to make a first impression. Don’t be caught unaware. When you do all these, you establish yourself as someone people want to talk and listen to. Move yourself from just filling up space to becoming someone that truly matters #learnwithtemi

#KeyPerformanceIndicators (KPIs) play a crucial role in organizations and businesses. why they are so significant: #EnhanceEmployeeMorale: KPIs provide employees with information on their performance as individuals, as a team, and as a company. Positive performance feedback can boost motivation and encourage continued productivity. A positive and collaborative culture within the team can be fostered through KPIs1. #SupportBusinessObjectives: Comprehensive KPI measurement tools report on various aspects of the organization, including operations, employees, and financial performance. By aligning KPIs with business goals, companies can increase the likelihood of achieving their objectives. For instance, tracking monthly customer account acquisitions helps a company stay on course toward its annual goal1. #EncourageCompanyGrowth: Effective use of KPIs identifies improvement areas and drives continuous improvement initiatives. Employees can identify skills they need to develop to enhance their work performance. Overall, KPIs contribute to both individual and company growth1. #ManageCompanyPerformance: Access to KPI reports ensures personal, team, and departmental accountability. It simplifies communication and encourages transparency by relying on quantitative or qualitative data rather than individual self-reporting1. #MeasureProgress: KPIs help companies track improvements and monitor progress over time. Analyzing trends based on KPI data allows organizations to make informed decisions. In summary, #KPIs provide #focus, #clarity, #transparency, and #accountability, guiding behavior, productivity, and decision-making within an organization.

What's one of the biggest red flags to me in my search for work? It's the line "expected to be in the office 5 days a week". All that actually says to me is: "You're not measured by your results", "I'm a manager who doesn't know how to manage my reports", "I dont trust my reports". Thoughts? #jobsearch #worklifebalance #trust #hrmanager #recruitment #management #results #productivity

Transforming your workforce to achieve exceptional productivity by driving high performance culture into your business | Ground up performance management | Productive & efficient people who are 'in it to win it!'
Here are 5 things companies do that hold their staff (and ultimately their profits) back....... 1. Believe that as all staff have a job title, they know exactly what to do in their job. 2. Buy the excuse that Managers are too busy doing their jobs to have regular meetings with every member of their teams. If there's a problem, the team member will speak up right? 3. Don't provide an opportunity to praise individuals and recognise good work - they get pay, they don't need a pat on the back too do they??? 4. Assume that as you've sent an all staff email about something important, it's officially out there, understood and being acted on. 5. Put new initiatives in place and leave Managers to follow through. You've given them the instructions - it's not your job to implement. You need to move onto the next project. If you are doing any of these things in your business and would like to find out how easy it is to change it, message me. At RPO Global we have proof that NOT doing these things and doing it a bit differently, impacts the bottom line faster than you think. What else would you add to this list that you've seen in places you've worked?

If you think being a “yes, ma’am” candidate gets you hired, think again There is a notion out there that if you say “yes” to everything, you are the easiest to work with. If you are not questioning or challenging anything, then you’ll never bring any issues. And maybe in some spaces that is true, BUT if you want to make a contribution, you want to challenge the status quo, you want to provide solutions, you will have to speak up. Find an employer that values your contribution, respects your input, and shows them what ROI you can bring in. What are your thoughts on challenging the status quo? Would love to know what you think. Corporate Communications | Infusing agility and action in communications for global MNCs | Certified Human Behaviour Analyst
𝗦𝗵𝗵𝗵𝗵... 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁! When building a service business, one key question to ask is: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂? That’s where you will find the gold. The answer to this question provides insights into creating a valuable offering, enabling you to address critical pain points effectively. In #CorporateCommunications, here are some of the best-kept secrets: 1. 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗽: This function thrives on exceptional writing and creative thinking, yet over 80% of the time, teams struggle with these skills. This is not their fault; the daily grind leaves little room for creativity and fresh perspectives. 2. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀: In today's uncertain economic environment, for a support function like corporate communications, maintaining a full-time resource with a salary and benefits can be a significant burden. This includes not only the salary but also office space, provident funds, training, and other HR investments. 3. 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Transitioning hiring costs from fixed to variable through flexible work arrangements is a great way to keep operations nimble in large multinational organizations. However, this need remains unmet due to a lack of highly experienced, high-value, and high-quality employee-partners or consultants. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of working with exceptional communicators and leaders in solving these problems. The insights I share come from my experience and from constantly seeking the answer to that one crucial question: What is it that people are not telling you? If you are facing these challenges and seeking solutions, let's chat. #Reputation #EmployeeRetention #EmployerBrand #CrisisManagement #ChangeManagement #InternalCommunications #MediaRelations #InvestorRelations #PublicRelations #writing #designing #Creativity #Communications
