    It is great to see the Responsible Sourcing from Smallholders (RSS) programme as a Highlight Story in the latest ASR Group Sustainability Report 2023. Introduced in 2016 by Nestlé, ASR Group, Proforest and the Philippines Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI), the programme was designed to address the risks and needs of sugarcane farmers of Negros Occidental, Philippines.

    This week is #ClimateWeekNYC, and we are excited to announce the start of our partnership with Proforest to tackle the crucial intersection of climate change and human rights. 🌱🌿 Building on the foundations laid by Human Level in 2023, this collaboration will further support our member companies to build the business case for integrating climate, environment, and human rights. We aim to identify actionable steps for a just transition through real-life case studies, driving real-world impact. Together, AIM-Progress and Proforest will work to showcase what our members are doing to bring human rights into their transition plans and align further with existing international initiatives and collaborative spaces. By leveraging these partnerships, we can build on shared learnings, reduce duplication of efforts, and drive meaningful change efficiently. Proforest brings extensive experience to this endeavour, having worked at the intersection of people, nature, and climate within responsible sourcing for many years. Their strategic expertise and hands-on project management will be key to advancing this vital work.     "Bosques para el Agua" es un proyecto de #paisajes ubicado en la subcuenca del Río Lebrija Medio, #Santander, #Colombia, diseñado para apoyar a pequeños palmicultores y mejorar su calidad de vida mediante prácticas sostenibles y una gestión responsable del #agua. El objetivo principal es empoderar a los actores del agroecosistema palmero, promoviendo la conservación de #bosques y la regulación del ciclo hídrico. El proyecto ha realizado 6 talleres con más de 300 participantes, fortaleciendo la gobernanza entre actores locales y fomentando una producción de aceite de palma más #sostenible. Se han implementado acciones como el enriquecimiento de bosques y la restauración de áreas degradadas en más de 10 fincas. Este proyecto es financiado por Cargill, con apoyo de Fedepalma y Cenipalma, y ejecutado por Proforest.
