Progressive Policy Institute’s Post

PPI attended the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last week, where we were proud to host numerous events throughout the week, including a policy forum with elected leaders, a reception and watch party, and a two-part "Winning the Working Class" event with Axios. Our afternoon of policy programming centered around our Campaign for Working America, recently launched by former Rep. Tim Ryan, which is developing a new Blueprint of policy ideas oriented around the economic aspirations and moral concerns of working families. During panels and fireside chats with elected leaders, we discussed a policy framework to address what we see as the Democratic Party’s overriding political imperative: Regaining the allegiance of working-class Americans. Speakers across our events included: Governor Jared Polis (D-CO), Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO), Senator Gary Peters (D-MI), Rep. Nikki Budzinski (D-IL), Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-WA), Rep.
