Imagine walking into a small, rural school in a remote village in Türkiye. It’s the first day of the school year, and you see eager children filling the classrooms with excitement and curiosity. Yet, despite their enthusiasm, you quickly realize that these students are facing an uphill battle. Their classrooms lack the basic resources needed to ignite their potential. Simple items like books, science equipment, or art supplies are in short supply, leaving their aspirations dimmed. 🔑 This is where you can make a difference. Through BTF’s 2024 #BackToSchool campaign, you have the power to help transform these classrooms into vibrant learning environments where young minds can flourish. For children in rural Türkiye, education is the key to a brighter future. By adopting a classroom, you're not just providing supplies—you're investing in their potential, giving them the tools they need to dream bigger, reach higher, and one day transform the communities they come from. In partnership with the Annenberg Institute at Brown University, we worked with Results for America on its summer virtual learning series, "Building and Sustaining #HighImpactTutoring: How to Design, Fund and Implement an Effective Program for Student Success." Local education teams left this 7-week learning series better equipped to implement and scale high-impact tutoring programs that align with proven best practices and address unique local needs. 📚👏🏼 💡 Why it matters: Studies show that high-impact tutoring accelerates student learning and can help mitigate pandemic-related losses in reading and math. However, despite strong evidence and widespread support – including from the Biden-Harris Administration – fewer than 40% of schools nationwide offered high-impact tutoring during the 2023-2024 school year, with only 11% of students on average participating in it. Let’s change that! 🚀 🔗 Dive deeper into the latest research and design principles for high-impact tutoring. Check out the EdResearch for Action brief to learn more: https://lnkd.in/deCPZ3JJ
