While this article focuses mostly on AO within the public servant sector, its application and insightfulness directly applies to our current insurance industry. “Hence, it is crucial for practitioners to recognize AO as an organizational issue that requires serious attention. Although remedies for AO have not been extensively studied, our findings suggest several strategies that can help alleviate the problem. These include setting appropriate performance measures, emphasizing ethical practices within the organization, maintaining a focus on mission objectives, and fostering open dialogue. By implementing these measures, managers can effectively mitigate or prevent accountability overload within their organizations.” [excerpt from attached article]
