The West must be careful not to overestimate or underestimate the importance of a new treaty between Russia and North Korea. While the agreement certainly brings new risks, it also may not last very long, Yoon Young-kwan explains.

Not often tought in USA History classes - not even in Michigan Schools in which most troops left for Russia in Autumn of 1918 to overthrow the Communist Nation. Putin is pointing to how nations attempt overthrowing regimes. It was difficult however when the Veterans and relatives insisted on assistance of retrieving the bodies of those lost in Russia. Over flights of USA Gary Powers in 1960 reminded them of pre-war activities of Germany in 1941 Military is only required when the President Wag’s the Dog. 2014 Hillary Clinton- Wag the idea of Russian Involvement in the Elections while Hunter Biden is making money in Ukraine oil. Trump plays that card all the time, and so is Biden - to remain Presidential until November Elections. Why not - War is Good for Business of Building More Weaponry. Thus war is Good for the US Economically. More Veteran and More Generals, to support in Annual War Rallies. Then those heros end up Policing the People - US Citizens using the same tactics and weapons. One would think - that it is now up to the Republican Party, to find another leader that is more satisfactory to the Supreme Court of Colorado. Over 300 million people in this nation. Not have a Republican controlled Court thrust Political will on another Supreme Court. Why have a State - Supreme Court. Just eliminate the concept of a individual states of America. One Nation …

https://lnkd.in/d3aRwFQH <<China knows that it needs a strong Russia so that the west doesn’t consolidate its resources to deal with the perceived Chinese threat. But on the other hand, helping Moscow may prove too much for Beijing to stomach since that would harm China’s economy. So, Putin needs to force Beijing’s hand, and the peace treaty that he just signed with North Korea might just do the trick.>> #China #Moscow #economy #Putin #NorthCorea #Beijing #Russia #peace

Russia’s union with North Korea changes balance of power in region — diplomat Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Pyongyang in June yielded the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries MOSCOW, July 11/ The union of Moscow and Pyongyang has alarmed their opponents, since their comprehensive strategic partnership treaty changes the balance of power in the region, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said. "What matters most are the agreements that were reached between the two countries, first of all, the treaty on strategic partnership between Russia and North Korea. This is a very important document, which introduces an utterly new element to the balance of power in Northeastern Asia. The consequences of this step taken by the two countries are yet to be analyzed," he said. "Indeed, a kind of a union of Russia and North Korea has been formed, and it alarmed our strategic opponents," the diplomat noted, adding that further developments in Northeastern Asia will depend on how this treaty is implemented. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Pyongyang in June yielded the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, which envisages an immediate military assistance in case of a defensive war. The Russian president pledged that the new treaty poses no threat to South Korea’s security. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that only potential aggressors can object to the provision on military assistance in case of a defensive war. #business #finance #financialservices

https://lnkd.in/etVa9yDC Such cooperation doesn't require creating an East Asian North Atlantic Treaty Organization or accepting a decision to contain China -- at least not yet. More-robust multistate activities are nevertheless urgently needed across the island chain. Several areas of multilateral cooperation are already under way, but if much more isn't done, Beijing will play one nation against another, calibrating belligerent activities along its periphery to advance its interests. If the affected nations don't hang together, to paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, China may well hang them all separately.

Food for thought... An insightful analysis by Paul Globe of The Jamestown Foundation sheds light on why Norway's Svalbard Archipelago could become a focal point for Moscow's potential first move on NATO soil. The article highlights Russia's increasing interest in Svalbard, a demilitarized area, attributed to Norway's imposition of sanctions, climate change effects, and Russian strategic concerns regarding the defense of the Northern Sea Route's western entrance. Moreover, the presence of Chinese researchers in Spitsbergen, the availability of coal resources, and a substantial private land parcel for sale in the archipelago might further fuel Moscow's interest in Svalbard. #FoodForThought #Analysis #GlobalRelations #Svalbard #Russia #Norway #NATO #Insights

NEW: While European nations mull their next steps regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Moscow’s strategic aims in the Western Hemisphere are as clear as ever: ensuring the continuation of Latin America's stance of “neutrality” and “active non-alignment,” as it has been variously termed, write Ryan Berg, PhD and Rubi Bledsoe. In perhaps the region’s best example of overt support for Ukraine—Ecuador’s short-lived agreement to trade old Soviet equipment to the U.S. in exchange for a $200 million assistance package—a Russian pressure campaign quashed the deal within weeks by cutting off banana imports valued at $800 million annually and instilling fear that these actions would rope the region into a wider conflict. #russiaukrainewar #latinamerica #naoalinhamento https://lnkd.in/eNfMnhUA

Following meetings with Putin and Zelenskiy, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's trip to Beijing seeks to address a possible peace agreement for Ukraine. This "Peace Mission 3.0" fits China's initiatives to forward its peace agenda. EU officials, who consider Orban's strategy as appeasement, have criticized it. His friendly contacts with Xi and Putin, together with Hungary's close economic links to China, stand in contrast to the posture of other EU members. The visit comes before a NATO conference on support of Ukraine. Brazilian President (Lula) is a peacekeeping force among world leaders. #Lula has good relations to #Russia, Ukraine, US, China and Western countries. #Brazil refused to provide weapons to #Ukraine, supported all efforts for a cease-fire and remained neutral while pushing both countries to start #negotiations. According to an article of Foreign Policies "Brazil Is Ukraine’s Best Bet for Peace". Brazilian #diplomats will participate on the so called "peace summit" organized by Western countries, but Lula will not attend in person, considering that real peace can only be achieved wenn Ukraine and Russia engage together with the goal to end the #war. In a recent call with Putin, Lula defends a proposal for #peace.
