It's often good practice to judge the culture of an organization by it's leaders. This is especially true of senior leaders, their visibility to the company, their availability to the company, and their authenticity, as well as how they treat others. If you've got decent levels of emotional intelligence, you will work out if you want to work for them or not. Remember that you don't just work for your immediate manager, you work for the senior manager, the GM, and the CEO. Your leadership examples don't stop with the person who signs your leave requests and does your annual performance reviews. Look broader and look up.

"This leader now is proficient. They're good at what they do. They're more than just a manager. At this stage, you have someone who's empowering their people, developing their people, directing their people, aligning their people, and doing all those right things. And at this stage they have depth in their leadership to make a big impact. Because they now have the leverage to not only grow as a leader but to help develop and grow other leaders in the organization." https://lnkd.in/gwJMGrrN

“Organizations that make a strategic investment in leadership development, report 11% greater profitability and are twice as likely to retain their employees.” - Gallup Hats off to the senior leadership team from Vault Pressure Control for making the investment into their leadership culture. Richard Cain Rebecca Corvin How are you investing in the leaders of your organization? Do they truly understand how to build trust, communicate and influence the people they lead? How would you grade them on performance management, navigating tough discussions, change management and conflict resolution? I get it, investing in your leaders is costly. Please just ask yourself this question, “What will the cost be if I don’t invest in my leaders”?

It's important to stay current with areas of immediate relevance and those which have a weighting in every decision you make. For CPO's, EHS Exec's and other senior leaders, I'd certainly suggest your leadership teams across Procurement, Supply Chain and Sustainability consider this course unless you have your own internal versions. The content evolves every year and it's certainly pitched at the right level.
