Did you know Little robot is helping sick children attend school? The AV1 robot, developed by Norwegian company No Isolation, helps chronically ill children stay connected with their classrooms by serving as their remote presence in school. Controlled via an app, the robot allows students to engage with teachers and classmates, maintaining social bonds that can be crucial during long absences due to illness. Currently, around 3,000 AV1 units are in use across 17 countries, primarily in the UK and Germany. While the robot has been praised for its ability to keep children engaged in education and social life, challenges such as administrative hurdles and technical infrastructure issues remain.
