New progress in green hydrogen! 🚀 The TITAN Project recently wrapped up an insightful two-day annual meeting in Warsaw, bringing together partners to share the latest findings on green hydrogen technology. TITAN is at the forefront of developing an innovative biohydrogen production method that directly converts biogas into biohydrogen and solid carbon materials through the combined processes of biogas cracking and carbon dioxide dry reforming. 📌 Its mission is straightforward: to efficiently convert biogas into green hydrogen and carbon materials using a scalable, microwave-heated catalytic reactor. The project addresses the unique needs of small, remote, or unsubsidised biogas plants, offering an alternative path to valorise biogas efficiently and in a cost-competitive way. Key highlights from the meeting include: 🔹 Determining the minimum fluidisation velocity for catalysts in the fluidised bed reactor 🔹 Advancements in modelling and experimentation on catalytic methane decomposition kinetics 🔹 Engaging discussions on scaling up and designing the TITAN microwave reactor 🔹 Promising initial results on the ecotoxicological impact of carbon materials on soil organisms Interested in learning more about the project? Tech that is truly transformational wasn’t built in a day… I cannot tell you how delighted I am that after five years of research and innovation we can finally (FINALLY!) talk about our project. How it happened: 👉🏽 We discovered the tech 👉🏽 We deployed the project 👉🏽 We became a part of a scale up 👉🏽 Hexla delivered It wouldn’t have been possible without Krzysztof Koziol Jamie Edmiston Alex Holden for the work early on thank you for allowing me to be part of the journey, John Hartley and the team at Levidian and the incredible work they are doing to be at the forefront of UK innovation, the brilliantly ever-curious and open minded team at Worthy Farm and of course, my business partner in climate tech - Peter Behrens. We aren’t into ‘popular culture’ fast-buck ‘fashionable’ technologies.
