"Students are more than walking hard drives of knowledge." Ulrik Juul Christensen is the Danish founder of the Area9 Group of learning technology companies and of Area9 Lyceum. In both settings he is working in close partnership with VitalSource to integrate innovative learning approaches with widened access to knowledge. In this HEDx episode he outlines theories of achieving mastery through adaptive learning techniques supported by technology. He sees the number one challenge for global higher education providers to work out how to prepare students to ask the right intelligent questions, not provide knowledge to intelligent students to have the right answers. As we seek novel future solutions to the challenges of learning and of higher education, and the role of #GenAI in particular, it is important to think outside of the bubble of an anglo-centric world.

Stephen Harmon started his keynote at 1EdTech Consortium Learning Impact conference by setting the context for how humans deal with rapid change. My take-away...
