According to the 28th Annual Third-Party Logistics Study, integration of emerging technologies is becoming the norm, not the exception. With a staggering 87% of shippers and 94% of third-party logistics (3PL) companies adopting new technologies, it's clear that the industry is betting on innovation to improve efficiency and effectiveness. In this rapidly evolving environment, keeping up with the latest technologies is essential to gain a competitive advantage.

Certain sectors, such as Energy & Utilities, Financial Services and Manufacturing, have invested in technology and have seen productivity improvements. However, other sectors, (Transport, Retail/Wholesale, and the Public Sector), have seen a drop in productivity despite a similar technology investment. This demonstrates that simply rolling out technology is not enough on its own. Investments in other areas – such as people and processes – is also essential. Equally, it is important that your technology partner has an in-depth view of how technology investments will be leveraged in order to directly support business objectives.
