What an Incredible Double Donation Day in Sydney! Your hearts doubled in size for our special 24-hour double donation extravaganza. In just one day, we came together and raised an astounding $42,000 with over 300 generous donations! Thank you to the fundraisers, donors and especially our wonderful dollar-matching partner FDC Construction & Fitout for dedicating a day to dollar match and maximising the impact we can have to change young lives. With only 8 days to go before Sydney is riding, running and walking, it's the time to keep that fundraising and training energy going as we push for change for homeless youth. The UK is among the top 10 most charitable nations in the world. 🤲 In fact, from 2009 - 2018, the UK had the world's second-highest donation rate (71%). That means the British public loves to donate to good causes. If there's a number one reason to invest in branding, this is it because a strong brand is the key to connecting with the public, potential donors, funding partners and volunteers on an emotional level. Charities and nonprofits that are growing their profile with the public, donors, volunteers, funding partners, and other key stakeholders have tapped into branding to better connect with their audiences. 👉 Your organisation can too. Want to know how? 📲 Book your 30-minute call with @Navi Aulkh, for a detailed discussion about your organisation, branding requirements, our prices and packaging - and how to get the most out of working together https://lnkd.in/eukNawVA #charity #nonprofitmarketing #nonprofitleadership

No one succeeds alone—it takes a community to create a real impact. For charities, unlocking the power of your network can dramatically elevate your fundraising efforts. Here’s how to rally community partners for a powerful text-to-donate campaign: 🗽 Public Services: Collaborate with the Mayor’s Office, City Council, and local government to promote your cause through their channels and events. 📸 Media: Engage with local media and national press to share your compelling stories far and wide. 🎨 Entertainment: Partner with movie theatres, parades, and performing arts centers to amplify your message. ⛪ Places of Worship: Connect with religious institutions to reach congregations who care. 🏦 Business Community: Leverage local business events and work with Boards of Trade and Chambers of Commerce to spread the word. Mapping out your existing and potential partners can reveal strategic opportunities for collaboration. To supercharge your campaign, complete our Network Mapping Activity with your team. 🛠️ Pro Tip: Partners appreciate knowing the impact they’ve made. MGFC offers free sub-keywords (e.g., DONATE1, DONATE2) for donation tracking—a smart, cost-effective way to monitor your campaign’s success. For a small fee, you can even set up custom keywords for a more tailored approach. Building strong partnerships amplifies your campaign and fosters lasting relationships for future success. 📊 Despite a decrease in the number of donors, Q1 2024 saw a 60% average increase in the total dollar amount donated compared to Q1 2023. This significant growth highlights the impact of fewer but larger gifts, suggesting that high-value donors are still highly engaged. #Fundraising #DonorEngagement #PhilanthropyTrends #EverTrue

Did you know that this Friday is Fundraiser Appreciation Day? Fundraiser Appreciation Day is a chance to stop and say thank you to you, our incredible fundraisers, for all of the important work you do. Ryan Ginard, CFRE writes about #FundraiserAppreciationDayAU and the critical role of fundraisers in society in this recent article. Read it here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gtBsKm93
International award-winning social & political change author | Advocacy @ Minderoo Foundation | Founder of Fundraise for Australia
Thanks to F&P (Fundraising & Philanthropy) for running this important piece in the lead up to #FundraiserAppreciationDayAU. Was a real honour to write it in tandem with Sally Shepherd from Fundraising Institute Australia & Tessa Irwin CFRE EMFIA from APN. “Celebrating fundraisers helps to attract new talent to the field. As the need for charitable support grows, so does the demand for skilled fundraisers. Highlighting their successes and contributions can inspire others to join the profession and see it as a career path. This is particularly important given the current economic climate, where the cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated the need for charitable services. “We need more passionate individuals who are willing to take on the challenge of fundraising. By celebrating those who are already making a difference, we can inspire the next generation. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of the current economic landscape, the role of fundraisers will only become more critical.” Remember to take the time this Friday (July 5th) to thank those building the essential resources to help our for purpose sector thrive. https://lnkd.in/gaxKk4bB

If you're not able to raise money from your silent auction it's probably because you're forgetting this... SCARCITY. We've all been there. We're setting up a fundraising event, trying to figure out how many auction items we need to maximize the money raised, while ensuring we stay within the budget. It's not easy. However, with this silent auction hack, you'll never spend more than 5 minutes deciding how many items you need. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸: For every 2 donors, use 1 silent auction item. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? Say you have 120 guests coming to your event. Out of those 120 are 50 loyal donors. Now, out of the 70 guests who have never donated to you in the past, there may be a few who end up giving during your event. But, don't EXPECT them to give. Instead, use those unexpected donors to help drive up the auction item price for your loyal donors. So, for this scenario you should only have 25 silent auction items. Doing this will encourage fun bidding wars among donors and increase the amount raised for your mission. If you'd like to increase participation and allow more unexpected donors to give, try utilizing a raffle at the same event! #fundraisingtips #nonprofitfundraising #nonprofithelp #nonprofits #fundraisingideas
