🌴Save Your Trees from Ganoderma🌴 Ganoderma, a persistent fungus causing "butt rot" in trees, particularly in palms and cannot be eradicated once in the soil. However, selecting Ganoderma-resistant palm species and properly removing infected parts can manage its spread. Although Ganoderma is part of natural decay, maintaining tree health and getting palm tree services prevents infections by Ganoderma zonatum, which typically targets weakened palms. Raw sewage entering any ecosystem in this quantity is alarming because it may be contaminated with microbes that pose infectious disease risks to humans and coastal marine mammals and fish species. In addition the organic materials in raw sewage may serve as rich nutrient sources that increase instances of toxic algae blooms by marine algae and other microbes such as Vibrio sp. https://lnkd.in/dSSC_rHD

Soilborne pathogens can cause tens of million dollars losses to the sugarcane industry. Plant parasitic nematodes and pathogenic fungi are the main organisms cause soilborne diseases. Below is an example of a heavily affected sugarcane crop (left) by lesion nematodes compared to an unaffected crop (right). Symptoms of soilborne diseases are quite variable ranging from plant stunting, damaged root system and leaf yellowing; often can be confused with nutrient deficiency or insect damage.

🌲🌍 On World Forest Day, let's remember the importance of forests and the threats they face, including forest plant diseases. Some examples include 🔺Dutch Elm Disease - Ophiostoma novo-ulmi 🔺Chestnut Blight - Cyphonectria parasitica (or) Endothia parasitica 🔺Oak wilt - Ceratocystis fagacearum (or) Bretziella fagacearum 🔺Sudden Oak Death - Phytophthora ramorum 🔺Butter nut canker - Sirococcus clavigignenti juglandicearum 🔺Cypress canker is caused by three species of Seiridium fungi: S.cardinale, S.cupressi, S.unicorne 🔺Pine wilt is caused by the pinewood nematode (PWN) - Bursaphelenchus xylophilus 🔺Little leaf of pine - Phytophthora cinnamomi By raising awareness and promoting proactive measures, we can protect our precious forests. #WorldForestDay #ForestHealth 🌳

Much is known about the protective properties of Trianum against soil-borne pathogens, nevertheless this biofungicide continues to exceed expectations. Even at temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius, Trianum proved very effective at controlling disease and promoting plant growth. The tolerance of Trianum to abiotic stresses such as heat is good news in a world where harsh growing conditions are becoming increasingly common. #PartnerswithNature #trianum #soilhealth

A very close-up picture of the BioDiglyphus larva feeding on a leafminer pest larva. Maggots of leafminer flies from the genus Liriomyza damage edible leaves of vegetables, causes esthetic damage and can lead to desiccation and premature leaf-fall. Wounding of the foliage also allows entry of bacterial and fungal diseases. BioDiglyphus (Diglyphus isaea) is a very effective beneficial parasitic wasp, it searches out the pest larva (=maggot) and oviposits an egg in its proximity. When the egg hatches, it has available feed to grow and develop. Let the nature work for you! #biobee #biocontrol #leafminer #diglyphus

Much is known about the protective properties of Trianum against soil-borne pathogens, nevertheless this biofungicide continues to exceed expectations. Research shows that Trianum is remarkably tolerant of acidic soils and remains effective even at an extremely acidic pH.
