Here’s a retrospective look back in time at Deckers Brands first EU tradeshow in 2003 - and yes, that's really me!! Our teams from Germany and the US came together on site at American Hofmann Corporation Hofmann not only to exchange knowledge and share best practices, but also to lay the foundation for even closer collaboration: 🔹 Collaboration: It was impressive to see how our colleagues from different locations brought their unique perspectives and experiences to the table. Together, we developed innovative approaches to optimize our global sales strategies. 🔹 Sharing knowledge and best practices: From success stories to challenges, the open dialog provided us with valuable insights and new ideas for the balancing industry. That right there is a beautiful sight! It might not appear to be terribly exciting for the average viewer but to my Sports & Outdoor client, it most certainly is. Those are pallets of Rifle Scope and Binocular displays being picked up from our China factory so they can air freight to the McIntyre Manufacturing Group facility in NC. They will hit our dock next week and our fulfillment team will drop ship them to Scheels and Sportsman's Warehouse locations. Most brands think you need large orders that fill containers to justify overseas production. WRONG. Or that air freight is so expensive, it doesn't make sense to produce smaller runs overseas. WRONG. Even with air freight, it was more economical for my client to produce these in our overseas factory. Could we have produced these domestically? Absolutely. It's nice to be able to give my clients the option of overseas vs domestic production. They can compare the two and determine which makes the most sense for their budget and time-to-market needs.
