🚀 Thrilled to share my experience participating in 'The Opulent Portfolio' event - a dynamic mock stock exchange simulation! 📈 It was my first foray into such a competition, and I couldn't be more excited about the learning it offered. The rush of making real-time decisions based on spot news, headlines, and challenges was unparalleled. This immersive experience not only deepened my understanding of the stock market's nature but also gave me a taste of real-time buying and selling, sans the real risk. Especially if one of my decision lingers over a huge upset. During uncertain times, making logical decisions in the chaos was like threading a needle in during mountain biking. But once got a hold of this skill and diligence it becomes a skillfull sport. 💼 #OpulentPortfolio #StockMarketSimulation #LearningExperience #finance

Are you a ‘reacher’ or are you a ‘looker’? 💡 Went to teamLab Borderless in Tokyo and was blown away by this art installation in one of the rooms. Everyone was looking at the same light show but one guy out in front reached out to see what would happen if he touched it. *zing* The light shot up into the sky like a shooting star. Guess what happened next? Everyone tried to reach for the next one. And the next. And the next. This seems to happen in life. Most people start by ‘watching’ bright things. You could think of them as opportunities. Very few reach out for them. When the ‘lookers’ see that it worked for the ‘reacher’. Then they jump on the bandwagon and fight for the next opportunity. There’s value in being the first person to reach out. After that, it’s usually a frenzy. Early move advantage. That’s the game. PS. Go to anything teamLab. They are all over the world with different themes and exhibitions. Seriously awesome stuff. #outbound #opportunity #mindsethacks

There are some good learnings to draw for early stage startups from this interview, even though most advice is for later stage companies. https://lnkd.in/dgdg79KA When a founder hires their first product manager, they should ask the following questions to set the culture right: ➡️ Is the product manager be responsible for delivering outcomes or output? ➡️ Will the founding team be helping establish the right way of working (culture and processes) between engineering, design and product to facilitate the product to achieve those outcomes? Hiring a product managers to implement just a roadmap will eventually bloat your team. For early stage startups hitting growth, it’s the CEO’s responsibility to build the product team with an aim to go for 10x outcomes than just shipping outputs. Lenny Rachitsky, Marty Cagan

March Madness As March comes in like a lion and we get ready for the madness that happens at this time of the year, I am reminded that the built environment is a lot like March Madness. In addition to each being dynamic, transformative, and full of surprises, they share several similarities. Both encounter diverse elements and complexities. In March Madness, you have a multitude of teams with varying skills, strengths, and approaches to the game. Similarly, the built environment embodies a range of different building types, each with its own unique characteristics, functions, and approaches to how they are operated and managed. March Madness is known for teams competing against each other to advance in the tournament and hopefully, win the coveted championship. Likewise, in the built environment, there is competition among facility management, engineers, IT, solution providers, and developers to create innovative and functional spaces that stand out and meet the needs and requirements of a variety of businesses. In March Madness, the tournament bracket is carefully planned, and teams are seeded based on their performance and rankings. Similarly, those involved in managing and operating buildings need to carefully plan and design their operating environments, considering several factors such as facility use, productivity, compliance, infrastructure, security, sustainability, desired outcomes, and more. In March Madness, teams must be flexible, often needing to adapt their gameplay and strategies based on live game situations. Likewise, the built environment must accommodate the unpredictable---adapting in real-time to dynamic events such as occupancy levels, environmental conditions, equipment functionality and unexpected occurrences. March Madness garners widespread attention and support from a community of fans and alumni rooting for their favorite teams. Similarly, the built environment relies on a community and extended ecosystem to ensure buildings operate efficiently and effectively and to key performance levels. While the built environment and March Madness may seem unrelated, they share several of the same characteristics that are essential to win. They both need to operate harmoniously, unite disparate things together, utilize data to get a leg up, make people and things interoperate with each other---all to deliver winning outcomes. #niagaraframework #niagara #smartbuildings #intelligentbuildings #buildingintegration #buildingautomation #builtenvironment

As an aspiring Product Manager, my learning journey started by exploring frameworks that enhance productivity and decision-making. I first came across the MoSCoW Method while diving deep into resources from Product School, HelloPM, Product Space, and PM School. ✔ It wasn't just theory for me—I actively engaged with this method on platforms like GeeksforGeeks, and it became clear how valuable this simple yet effective tool is for prioritizing tasks. ✔ In my current course with Internshala Trainings, I've been able to put this into practice in gaidence of Chirag Gupta ⚡. The MoSCoW Method breaks down tasks into Must-haves, Should-haves, Could-haves, and Won't-haves, making it easier to focus on what truly matters. ✨ Now, I’m sharing my accumulated insights in the form of short notes with fellow learners and professionals to get your reviews, thoughts, and insights! ➡️ I’d love to hear from you—have you used the MoSCoW method before? What tips do you have for optimizing task prioritization? Feel free to drop your feedback in the comments.💌 🙌 #ProductManagement #MoSCoWFramework #TaskPrioritization #PMJourney #ContinuousLearning #Internshala #ProductSchool #HelloPM #GeeksForGeeks #PMCommunity

🚀 **Staying Relevant in Your Career: Lessons from Blockbuster** 🚀 Hey everyone! In today’s fast-paced world, change is the only constant. Remember Blockbuster? They were once the kings of home entertainment, but their downfall teaches us some important lessons about staying relevant. James Keyes, the former CEO of Blockbuster, nailed it when he said: *"We had everything we needed to succeed in streaming, but we didn’t move fast enough. The market changed and we didn't."* Blockbuster’s story is a great reminder that we can’t afford to get too comfortable in our careers. Here are a few things we can all learn: 🔹 **Keep Learning**: Never stop learning! Whether it’s new skills, industry trends, or professional development, staying informed keeps you sharp and ready for whatever comes next. 🔹 **Embrace Change**: Change can be scary, but it’s also exciting. Be open to new ideas and technologies. Adaptability is key to staying ahead in any field. 🔹 **Be Proactive**: Don’t wait for change to find you—go out and find it yourself. Stay ahead of the game by anticipating shifts in your industry and preparing for them. 🔹 **Innovate**: Complacency is the enemy. Always look for ways to improve and innovate. Thinking outside the box and taking risks can set you apart from the crowd. 🔹 **Network and Collaborate**: Surround yourself with forward-thinking people. Networking can open up new opportunities and provide fresh perspectives. Blockbuster had the resources to dominate the streaming market, but they missed the boat because they didn’t move fast enough. Their story is a perfect example of why we need to stay agile and proactive. So, let’s learn from their mistakes and strive to be agile, innovative, and always ahead of the curve. Keep learning, embrace change, stay proactive, foster innovation, and network like a pro. That’s how we stay relevant and successful in our careers. #CareerGrowth #KeepLearning #EmbraceChange #StayProactive #Innovation #Networking #StayRelevant
