I recently had the opportunity to present on photogrammetry to the team at SPPG and EMA, and it was a valuable experience for everyone involved. The URA's IPAG team shared insights about their initiatives and the bigger picture, emphasizing the importance of gathering essential subsurface information for urban planning and infrastructure development. During my presentation, I introduced the fundamental concepts of photogrammetry and explained how it can transform the way we capture and analyze site data. We explored the Pix4D workflow, which simplifies the process from image capture to 3D model generation, enabling teams to gather accurate data more efficiently. A key highlight was discussing the ease of deployment in the field. With the right tools, teams can quickly set up and start capturing high-resolution images without extensive training, which is crucial in today’s fast-paced environment. We also delved into the accuracy achieved with Emlid RTK technology. This single-user, hand-deployed device has slashed our data capture costs by approximately 75%. It's a game-changer for anyone needing geo-referenced 4K video for ground truthing and seabed verification. The high-quality data it provides is unparalleled. 📷📍 We recently put Hydrus to the test, capturing nearly 4000 images that were processed using the Curtin HIVE computer, thanks to the incredible support from Curtin University HIVE (Andrew Woods) and Western Australian Museum (Ross Anderson). The results were astonishing! The detailed digital twins created from the data highlight the power of Hydrus combined with advanced computational resources. Below, you can see the comparison: Top: Captured with our 4K camera. Bottom: Processed through Curtin HIVE’s supercomputer, resulting in a model with approximately 154 million triangles. It's incredible to see the level of detail and accuracy achievable. While not everyone has access to the same workstation computer used to generate this high quality model, the data you capture with Hydrus will be more than sufficient for any job regardless of the processing power you have on hand.

Excited to share hyperspectral image Classification by using spectral angle mapper (SAM) using ENVI. 🌈✨Hyperspectral remote sensing is an advanced technique for analysing and capturing information about the earth surface and atmosphere by capturing a wide range of electromagnetic wavelengths , it uses hundreds or more than hundreds of narrow and contiguous bands. Sensor: Hyperion spectral range: 400 - 2500 nm. Spectral resolution : 10 -15 nm. No of bands : 242. Before hyperspectral data processing we have to know that , this sensor provide lots of details about feature, but it contains lots of noise. ✨Image processing Steps( ENVI): Bad band and Bad line remove - geometric correction - Flash ( to remove atmospheric error)- Endmember collection ( MNF, PPI , N- D VISUALIZER) - apply Spectral angle mapper. #imageclassification #hyperspectralimage #ENVI #Remotesensing #spectralanglemapper
