MAIN TRAIL — MMF in IgAN. New treatment options for IgAN have expanded in recent years, but the optimal treatment still remains controversial. According to recent research, MMF may be a favourable option for patients with low eGFR and those at high risk of adverse effects with steroids. Although further exploration is needed with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up periods, MMF could be a reasonable choice for Chinese patients. With the introduction of SGLT2 inhibitors, budesonide, and sparsentan, the role of MMF in IgAN needs to be explored further. Following a highly successful treatment of BPH – enlargement of the prostate gland – using pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy in dogs, the Parsemus Foundation supported a small clinical trial in men to see if the positive results translated to humans.
