On World Haemophilia Day, let’s look at some stats on the prevalence haemophilia: ❇ According to the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH), there are an estimated 815K cases of haemophilia worldwide. Of these, only 347K are diagnosed, and 276K cases are of severe haemophilia. ❇ Haemophilia A is the most prevalent X-linked hereditary bleeding disorder, affecting one in every 5,000 males and constituting 80% of all haemophilia cases. ❇ A majority of haemophilia patients –  around 75% – either have insufficient access to treatment or no access at all. This highlights a significant global health disparity that needs urgent attention.
