Do you feel like you’re over stressed? Overworked? If so, let's figure out how to become more efficient or get more resources to help you.’” 🚹 In light of International Men's Day, November 19th, we highlight Drew's dedication to promoting mental wellbeing within our team. Our journey is defined not by what we achieve, but by who we become along the way. Each new stage of life brings opportunities to grow in ways we never imagined. As leaders, we've been blessed with resources and platforms to impact change. While success is sweet, purpose is far sweeter. ✍️ I've come to realize my mission lies not in personal glory, but in shining light for others still emerging from darkness. Giving back is the only way forward. What started as mandatory service morphed into a movement as I witnessed firsthand the power of investing in our future. Young minds yearn not for fame or fleeting fortune, but for role models who see their potential and help turn hopes into realities. Our work is never done until everyone can do for others as has been done for them. Let this be our legacy - that we lifted as we climbed and built upon foundations not our own. The greatest leaders become complete only when their light reflects in countless shining faces. ✅ Who will you guide today towards dreams once deemed out of reach? ✅ What direction will you point the next generation? Your experience and wisdom could redefine someone's trajectory. Pay it forward - your reward will be seeing your impact multiply in awesome ways. Let's build a better world through service, leadership and giving back.

No matter what you do, what level you hold inside the company, whether you work as an entrepreneur or employee, or whether you are still rocking your way up throughout your career or about to retire. Find a higher purpose inside you, ask yourself what legacy you can leave, and activate your superhumanity. Eventually, we will not be remembered for how clever we were at work, how much money we made, or how we managed organization objectives and KPIs as one of the leaders!! Undoubtedly, being the best at what we are doing is crucial to succeeding in our careers and flourishing, but you should also make sure that your humanity is present. As they always say, "It is easier said than done." That is why working on elevating self-awareness, social awareness, and having the courage to change and be part of big things is more important than making money and climbing positions. #humanleadership #executivecoaching #humanity

🪜 Is your ladder leaning against the right wall❓ It can be an easy-to-ignore aspect of our careers. We stay busy, heads down, “working hard,” but are we going anywhere? In some ways, life has its own plan for you, but in other ways, leaving these things to chance is not a good idea. Working with leaders and teams ever day for the last twenty years, we've found that most people simply don’t know how to approach challenging conversations like negotiating equity, increased salary, or protecting your hours invested in a project, role, or business. Learning the “language of business” and (more importantly) putting it to work for your career is of paramount importance if it’s profitable progress you desire. I created Inner Circle as a supportive and non-judgemental place where we can learn and practice these elements of leadership and entrepreneurship and make real-world progress with current and future opportunities. Send me a message to learn more about our application process to become an Inner Circle member. #CareerDevelopment #LeadershipSkills #EntrepreneurMindset #BusinessNegotiation #ProfessionalGrowth #PlantMedicine

Year after year, we find ourselves settling for the same outcomes. Why do we accept such high margins of error while still experiencing a rise in financial inequality, increased turnover rates, and decreased performance output? It's time to reflect on our values and make a positive impact in both our personal lives and businesses. Dr. K Dixon's words ring true: "Leadership isn't about a title; it's about a dedication to community awareness and proactive action. True leadership starts with understanding oneself." If we don't understand ourselves, how can we expect to reach our full potential or inspire others to do the same? If we fail to grasp our values, how can we make informed business decisions? Better yet, how are we making any decisions without realizing the significant impact that values have on shaping our self-perception and interactions with others? Join us in embracing a value-based approach to solving these challenges. Visit loveisaparable.com to learn more and partner with us on this impactful journey. What are your thoughts? In 2021, I was laid off. The company was making changes that would result in a reduction in force (RIF) in my area. It was months in the making, putting most of us in threat state. We knew there were changes coming that would include reductions, but not who would be impacted or when. I must admit, it’s a crappy feeling. Change is what I do for a living, and it was still a struggle. As we got to the end of 2020, my low-grade anxiety began increasing. We were reorganized, and it was the first step towards the final structure. One I strongly suspected I wouldn’t be part of. I had a few choices. I could have been caught up in negative thoughts and feelings. There was the option to exit and find something new immediately. Ultimately, I wanted to be there for my team and influence the best outcome for them I could. The end of 2020 was focused on actions I could take to show up as the best version of myself in 2021. How I could manage the uncertainty of change, honor my own stress, and be the leader I wanted with no regrets at the end of the journey? “The Futurist Founder”: A Social Science Technological Industrialist, critical-thinking visionary, increasing performance and improving outcomes through strategic alignment, operational focus, and tactical efficiency.
Level-up Leadership Time: Hard truth is coming, and it is served straight with no chaser. The children of the "greatest generation." Your legacy is at stake. History will either remember you as heroes who led the world and humanity to new heights or the generation that collectively sold their souls to capitalism and killed the environment and Democracy in the process. Gen-Xers, some of us were asleep at the wheel and didn't pay attention because we weren't being listened to. But here we are; it's our time, but some of us want to go along to get along. We need change agents and people willing to have hard conversations and do the work more intelligently. Millennials are moving fast and breaking things, which is excellent as long as you clean up after yourself, honor commitments, and start to value progress over popularity. Gen-z, you have to put in the reps and do the work. You don't just wake up in the C-suite or get to skip steps; that is where all the growth occurs. Technology as a tool can help you learn by doing while doing. Just do the work. Your future self will thank you for it. Act accordingly. We will ALL be judged OBJECTIVELY by history and in real-time by the rest of humanity. "Real leaders" respect honesty, even when they disagree with what they hear, because "real leaders" understand that. Intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing thoughts at the same time. Integrity is acting with character because it's the right thing to do. Inspiration is helping others see their worth and greatness. Some of you are scared because you're falling behind, in some cases failing MISERABLY in real-time, and refuse help. People are counting on you, and you ARE NOT delivering. There is a lot to do, and it can all be done. But you have to work together. It's the only way. Good luck; you are all going to need it. People are TIRED; either get to work or get out of the way. #Accountable #Business #Insights #Decisions #Experiences #NorthstarPrinciples #Levelupleadership

"An #EarlyCareerChallenge: Conquering My Initial Leadership Hurdle" My entrepreneurial journey began with no guidebook or legacy to lean on. I was a greenhorn leading a team, yearning to make a mark. Despite my inexperience, I was driven by passion, determination, and a steadfast commitment to delivering results on time. My first significant hurdle was navigating the confusing maze of leadership. Every day brought novel challenges and learning opportunities. I had to embrace the uncomfortable reality of 'not knowing' and find ways to lead my team effectively. What turned the tide for me was my decision to foster an environment where two-way communication prevailed. I strived to create a culture where my team felt comfortable sharing their ideas, fears, and suggestions. My open-door policy ensured that they saw me as an ally, ready to slog along with them shoulder-to-shoulder. This early career challenge taught me that leadership isn’t about having all the answers but forging ahead nevertheless. The experience reiterated the importance of #AuthenticLeadership and instilled an unwavering belief in the power of #OpenCommunication and #EmployeeEngagement. Every struggle shapes us, and we grow not despite our difficulties but because of them. The leader in me today owes a lot to the inexperienced entrepreneur I was then. #LeadershipLessons #CareerGrowth #LeadershipDevelopment #GrowthMindset

**Navigating the Ups and Downs: A Reflection** In my previous post, I shared a story about a win—an encouraging text from a new employee who felt valued and professional in our environment. Today, I wish to reflect on a different aspect of our journey, one that highlights the inevitable challenges we face. Recently, an employee departed abruptly, without any notice or the courtesy of a two-week notice. Despite our consistent efforts to maintain open communication and foster a supportive work environment, this unexpected exit serves as a poignant reminder that running a business encompasses a spectrum of experiences, both positive and negative. These challenges are integral to our growth and development. They compel us to refine our communication, enhance our practices, and evolve as leaders. It’s essential to acknowledge that the journey of entrepreneurship is not solely defined by triumphs but also by the resilience we exhibit in the face of adversity. To my dedicated team: thank you for your unwavering commitment and perseverance through both the peaks and valleys. These experiences shape our character and fortify our resolve as a company. Let us continue to learn, grow, and support each other, embracing the full spectrum of our shared journey. #Leadership #BusinessJourney #Teamwork #Resilience #LearningFromChallenges

Helping small business owners scale to multiple units and millions by attracting, retaining, and optimizing self-lead management teams | contact me: laura@thriveandperform.com
I get it. Reaching that top 1%? It's not just a goal — it's an obsession for many of us. But as we chase it, are we sacrificing the joy and purpose of WHY we started our businesses in the first place? I took a huge leap of faith to start my business. There was a 🔥 feeling inside of me that I could not explain. As I got going, my business grew faster than expected, and my natural high-performance drive kicked in. I needed to put that in check quickly. Building a legacy is a marathon, not a race. It takes strategy, self-leadership, and grit. I realized something BIG: ➡️ Achieving business success is great, but what's it worth if we aren't truly fulfilled or if our loved ones become an afterthought?! When I built the foundation of my company, I made a choice: ❌ My business was NOT just about climbing ladders. ✅ It was about building something that fits seamlessly with my life, marriage, and family. I moved my business to Charlotte, NC, to bring new experiences to my family, team, and clients. It's been a year of endless opportunities. Clients come on-site, and we work together in an environment where all that makes up our lives outside of work isn't just welcome – it's celebrated. We are all doing life together. To all leaders: let's not forget the bigger picture. Strive for that 1%… But not at the cost of forgetting why you started. #leadership #highperformers #highperformance #businessleaders #fulfillment
