💡🔓 [Article Extract] A new World Economic Forum report, released today in collaboration with Accenture, paints a stark picture of the global #cybersecurity landscape in 2024. The report, based on surveys conducted from June to November 2023, highlights the escalating challenges posed by increased geopolitical tensions, economic instability, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI). According to the report, less than 10% of respondents believe that generative AI will benefit defenders more than attackers in the next two years. I reposted a post by Steve King at the beginning of 2024, introducing trends of cyber threats. I mentioned the prediction of AI cybercrime at the end of 2024. It is not going to look good. Using AI to countermeasure AI cyber threats is again another mouse-cat game. The author mentioned about "Reduce the threat of synthetic data-based attacks by integrating biometric modalities and passwordless authentication techniques into every identity access management system." This thinking/action is in the right direction. Yet, it is like patching behavior after the attack reaction. The computing architectural secure system (CASS) design includes data accessing with user identity verification and content creator identity revealing. The CASS considers all surface defense based on computer architecture design. US10972256 and US8509424 describe this in detail. "Let's be smart"!
