⭐️ LETS TALK ABOUT IT ⭐️ In-person training for physical security is crucial for sustaining the security industry by providing hands-on experience, real-time feedback, and practical skills that are difficult to replicate online. It ensures that security professionals are adept at responding to dynamic and unpredictable situations, enhances their ability to use and maintain security equipment effectively, and fosters a strong understanding of physical security protocols. This direct training method also builds camaraderie and communication skills among team members, creating a more cohesive and responsive security force. Ultimately, in-person training is essential for maintaining high standards of safety and competence within the security industry. We're all about practical skills, but let's not kid ourselves – theory is the secret sauce that makes competencies truly delicious.

As security we can deal with some pretty intense situations and if we lack training things can go badly. Without experience and guidance we may panic or lash out and someone could get hurt. Some of the people we deal with can act erratically posing a danger to us and the people we are hired to keep safe. Ongoing training should be the norm both in theory and practice so we can develop competency and confidence in our abilities. Just like I learned in the military; repetition, repetition, repetition.

Security Consultant ★ Helping Managers better secure their Facilities and Events through a higher level of Security Awareness ★
Situational Awareness on Yellowstone? An excellent example for all of us including security professionals. The character Rip was aware of his surroundings, had a baseline and noted a significant deviation. Furthermore, he did not 2nd guess himself, but removed himself (and John) from the situation and reassessed his plan from safety (in the truck). Real-Life Takeaways: 1. Have a baseline – what is normal? 2. Be aware of deviations - things that are there and should not be, or things that are not there and should be (above and below the baseline) 3. Trust your gut and assess your next steps with your safety in mind. In this case, the deviation was people just staring at each other: people talking, moving around, and eating were all missing, and it was enough to set off a red flag. The rule of 3 says that Three Deviations = decision. 3D Security & Emergency Response Services ★ (888) 299-8903 ★ safer@3dsrs.com ★ www.3dsecurityservices.com ★ Providing Enhanced Security Professionals through Education & Training
