Orexin receptors are proteins located on the surface of nerve cells in the brain and other tissues of the body that respond to orexin, also known as hypocretin. Orexin is a neuropeptide that plays a crucial role in regulating sleep, wakefulness, and feeding. There are two main types of orexin receptors, known as OX1 and OX2, which are members of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family. In this study, the homology structure of OXR1 was obtained using Modeller 10.4, based on the PDB model 6TO7. The CHARMM-GUI server was used to embed the receptor in a POPC bilayer membrane. The orexin 1 peptide was obtained from the PDB model 1CQ0.
