Trump now controls the NSA, FBI and CIA. If Big Tech has your data, the US govt might have access to it too. Big tech collects vast amounts of personal information—location data, browsing history, financial details, and biometrics. This data can be accessed via Section 702 requests or National Security Letters (NSLs), which don’t require court approval and often include gag orders. Weak legal protections mean it’s increasingly up to individuals to safeguard their privacy with tools like encrypted email services and VPNs. Where does Trump stand on all of this? It's hard to say because he has given conflicting messages, but Section 702 comes up for renewal in 2026 in the middle of his term, and we will be closely watching that. Proton I was told I would get proton swags from Affiliate team but i did not hear back from them. 4 months have passed . Please do something
I see your concern and I absolutely agree with limited gov't but this is not in the least bit about Trump. Yet, I trust President Trump will be the better steward of those way too powerful agencies.
I have nothing but great things to say about protonmail and the value of the yearly subscription - and this was back before protonVPN was released. Now with the addition of so many other great features, I can’t see myself using anything but protonmail compared to any alternative options. Kudos to your team!
That’s why I use proton 🤘🏻
WoW!
Regardless of who is in the white house, no time like the present to ditch Big Tech data harvesting services. 5 things to do right now: * switch to a privacy friendly browser (we like Brave) * transition to a privacy friendly email (we like Proton) * Use Signal for messaging * Minimize use of mobile apps * change web search providers (we like Brave or Mojeek)
I don't care if a right or left wing US president is spying on me. There is no difference between Trump or an Biden or Harris administration. Just keep your data away from all of them.
