We were founded on the principles of doing good for others. Our brand journey began with a mission to create jobs in a small, mountain town in the Northern Rockies called Mackay, Idaho - population 514. Among the many natural gifts the region has brought to us is water - specifically Alkaline Spring Water. Less than 1% of the world's spring water is Alkaline. The spring water in Mackay is legendary and revered by the local generations as the best-tasting spring water known to mankind. There’s an expression Mackay locals like to say, “Once you’ve tasted the water in Mackay, you’ll never leave.” Our founding team has deep roots in the community of Mackay. A co-founder is from a 6th generation family from Mackay. He is credited with the idea to create a bottled water company with this precious asset from the town as a way to boost local jobs and build back a foundation for this small community in the Rockies. We have pledged to conserve the spring and will never take more than 5% of the spring’s output.

💧Water, Legacy, and the Power of Community: The Story of Seneca Village and Tanner’s Spring at Central Park ⛲️🌳 NYC What does water represent to a community? For the residents of Seneca Village in the early 1800s, it was far more than a resource—it symbolised survival, freedom, and growth. Established by free African Americans escaping the harsh realities of lower Manhattan, Seneca Village blossomed into a thriving community, built on resilience and hope. Homes, schools, churches—places that fostered unity and belonging in a city that often excluded them. By 1880, the story shifted to Tanner’s Spring. Dr Henry Samuel Tanner’s famous 40-day fast, sustained solely by the spring’s “pure” water, captivated the nation 🇺🇸 The spring became synonymous with health and wellbeing drawing people to its life-giving promise. These histories pose a profound question: How does water shape not only the land but also the identities and futures of those who gather around it? #WaterAndCommunity #SenecaVillage #CentralPark #tannersspring #hydratetheimagination #findaspring

There are countless trees around the world. But never lose hold of the significance of what one tree can provide. Be a giving tree. Big or small, short or tall. Birds and beasts alike - trees are open to all. Even when left alone, trees still exhale oxygen providing to the atmosphere. Be a tree in your community. Be a tree in your organization, in your family. Be a giving tree.

Congrats to our friend Rocket on his Ted Talk "Vermont: The Value of Hardship" for TEDx Hartland Hill's series, The Art of Living! What a refreshing take on the inherent BENEFITS of hardship: innovation, accountability, and cooperation - these are KEY qualities of Vermont living! Here at BRIC in Springfield, we're acutely and continuously aware of the myriad of challenges that rural life presents in the face of our community development efforts. If we're being honest, the list of obstacles and setbacks we encounter day to day often feels endless - like pushing a boulder up hill (both ways!) in the snow. Anyone boots on the ground doing this type of work knows it's not for the faint of heart, and in fact we often joke that you have to be a certain sort of glutton for punishment in order to ever actually make any progress. We know what we're doing is difficult, and that we're pushing against the odds with the things we're trying to accomplish - and somehow this awareness actually BOLSTERS our determination. The spirit of resilience and ingenuity is STRONG in Vermont. It's an inherent part of our identity. Whether it's snowstorms, early frosts, catastrophic flooding, workforce and housing shortages, food insecurity, busted leaking pipes - whatever the hurdle, Vermonters SHOW UP. We imagine possibilities, we work together, and we GET SHIT DONE. In spite of the challenges, there's nowhere we'd rather be! We believe in the power of our communities, we root for the underdog, and we WILL prevail. Thanks for the food for thought, Rocket! And for all that you're doing to help affect positive change here in Vermont! Excited to see the progress of our master planned community NorthShore, located along the St. Mary’s River in Camden County, Coastal Georgia. This 629-home community at build out includes a market-leading, resort-style amenity package including a 3,400 sqft clubhouse, boat launch, floating dock, observation deck, playground, and passive recreational/sports fields. NorthShore is a classic Drapac investment play: we identified a prime asset in an undervalued growth market, acquired it for a fraction of the infrastructure value, and added significant value during the hold period by undertaking thoughtful and strategic initiatives to restore and improve the community. A critical piece of our investment strategy has been to bring in multiple homebuilding partners including 1) Century Communities (NYSE: CCS), 2) Maronda Homes, and 3) Smith Family Homes. This approach has resulted in tremendous success for both the builders and overall community; builders are seeing strong absorption and price growth, and the community is appealing to a wider audience with a range of products and price points. Camden County is experiencing significant growth due to shifting demographic factors (+8% population and +26% household income growth over the last 5 years) and the expansion of regional economic drivers, which has translated directly to increased demand and home sale prices (+64% over the last 5 years). https://lnkd.in/dKTubEn9

🧐 As I’m doing more research, most people agree that the Inland Northwest encompasses Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. I’m working to better understand what it means to live in the Inland Northwest and I need your help! To all of you who live in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, please comment on the following: 1) What city/town do you live in? 2) What do you love about where you live? 3) What is your favorite local place to visit or support? If you don’t live in the Inland NW, please share with your network to help us get more answers! 🙏 My answers: 1) I live in an unincorporated part of Spokane, WA in the West Plains. 2) I love how many people care deeply about their community and are open to meeting new people (like me!) to talk about their experiences. 3) I have MANY local favorites, but Manito Park is one of my favorite places to visit year-round. #inlandnw #spokanewa #westplainsWA #communitybuilding #communityresearch
